Translator's Note: I fell absolutely in love with Fan de Basil de Baker Street's story, "Asterix and the Magic Urn." The author kindly gave permission for me to translate it because WE NEED MORE GREAT FIC. All reviews will be passed on to her, so encourage her - you'll see why I'm a fan if you read on down.
Prologue:
The year is 50 BC. All Gaul is occupied by the Romans. All? No! In Armorica, one small village of indomitable Gauls still holds out against the invaders. And life is not easy for the Roman legionaries who garrison the fortified camps of Totorum, Aquarium, Laudanum and Compendium…
This village, although it contained only a handful of warriors, was a veritable thorn in the side of Julius Caesar. The secret of the Gauls was their unity, their strength obtained from a magic potion brewed by the Druid Getafix. To date, Caesar had tried many times to get rid of these indomitable Gauls, using a thousand and one tricks, but his plans had failed every time.
Author's Note: That was the prologue of my first Asterix fanfic. I've been a fan since the first hour. Not that I'm as old as our brave Gauls, no ... but my father was a fan who already had a full collection of comics, often recovered, and I literally fell into them when I was little. I literally grew up with Asterix; I spent my evenings reading and rereading; eventually, I started to build up my own collection (which is now almost complete) so when the last movie came out, it inspired me straight away. ^^
