Waking up from his nap, Cado was eager for this day. His father was due to return home.
He ran outside to his mother.
"Mom! Mom! Is Dad back yet?"
"Nope, not yet, sweetheart. Sorry."
"Ugh."
Looking outside, Cado noticed a familiar face.
"Hi, Uncle Bardock!" he shouted while waving. Turning, Bardock smiled and waved back.
"Go outside. Then maybe you can see Dad land," Cado's mom replied.
"Okay."
Cado got up and ran outside. He headed towards Uncle Bardock and Aunt Gine's house. Maybe he could see if Kakarot wanted to play. He grew up playing with Raditz, but he left for the military with Prince Vegeta the Fourth… lucky bastard.
He took a peek. Unfortunately, Kakarot was still in his nursing capsule.
He could overhear a conversation between Bardock and Gine.
"I think we're in grave danger. I believe Frieza is afraid because of the Super Saiyan," Bardock said.
"But... but that's just a legend!" Gine responded.
"I know, but still. That's why I'm stealing a pod for Kakarot tonight."
"You can't be serious!"
"I am."
Cado was shocked. Was it true? Is that why the Saiyans came home? Was Frieza, their lord and ruler of the Frieza Force, really planning on doing something just because of some myth?
Just then, Cado heard a loud whoosh. He looked up to see a ship land. That could only mean one thing.
"Dad." He ran towards the landing zone.
Sure enough, Cado's dad emerged walked down the ramp.
"Hey, son!"
Cado jumped into his father's arms. Together, the two looked almost indistinguishable from one another especially when it came to their long, spiked hair. The only difference was that Cado had his mom's eyes.
Together, they walked back to the house. Cado's parents talked for bit, while Cado himself headed back to his room to write a note. It said:
Dear Mom and Dad, I heard Uncle Bardock and Aunt Gine talking about how it might not be safe anymore. They will send Kakarot to another planet, and I intend to do the same. If you're reading this, I am long gone. I'm sorry, and I love you.
He then snuck out the window and headed for where the pods were docked. It was late dusk by then.
Cado took a pod and punched in a bunch of numbers where the coordinates go. He obviously didn't know how to use it. The pod took off before the guards could do anything.
He climbed higher and higher and higher. Then, a huge ball of light rivaling a star flew towards Planet Vegeta. Then, all of a sudden, a huge explosion, and his home was gone. Even though he was young, he could sense the power level fall to nothing.
"No… NO!" he yelled before he was placed into a stasis sleep.
