Andy's mom tucks her son and kisses her forehead. She smiles and leaves when she thinks Andy is asleep, playing with her wedding ring. Andy waits until he hears his mother's fading footsteps before sneaking with Woody in his hands playing "limp" to the closet. He opens the door and moves the stuff around in a pure panic. Seeing nothing there he relaxes and climbs back into his bed and cuddles his Woody doll. Woody looks up at Andy sadly when he isn't looking then plays limp again when Andy looks down at him.

"You'll protect me won't you woody?" asks Andy, giving his doll a small smile.

He yawns and falls asleep with the toy in his arms. Woody sighs and pats the little boys hand before getting out of his grasp to get ready for the upcoming battle they have every night.

"I'll try buddy, no promises, but you can rest easy tonight." says Woody, in a whisper

The toys came out of their toy box and got ready with Woody for that newt like monster. Andy saw him a few times before they could do anything about it. The newt smiled at being caught and scared Andy on more than one occasion. Midnight struck and the door slowly opened and noises hit the wall, they knew he was in there. The toy soldiers got together and made a slingshot, Rex used his snout and pushed the ball into place. The ball went flying and hit their target, it only hurt him for a minute. He came down and looked down at the toys bored and huffed.

"Really? Don't you get bored of this endless task?! Seriously it's nothing personal I get payed for the kids' scream. " says Randy

"It's our job to protect him from the likes of you, Randy." says Woody

"Yeah!" the other toys agreed

"So get to packing overgrown geeko!" says Mr. Potatohead

Randy just chuckles and grins evilly at the toys, well the blur he saw. He never wears his glasses anymore like he should. The toys just stand there looking scary best they could then Randy used his speed to try to get to Andy's side, but Rex pulled him back by his tail. The toys with Woody as the leader attacked Randy, Randy avoided some attacks but he couldn't avoid the jacks or the jump rope. He was tied up but only for a moment, he struggled a lot and saw that Andy was about to wake he growled in anger. He can't be seen as a disgrace, he'd be the laughing stock on the scare floor. He was the only one not afraid of being touched by children's stuff because of these battles. He let himself loose and slithered for the door before turning toward the toys looking very mad at them.

"You better hurry before you're owner catches you. You won this time but you won't win again. You can't protect him forever Woody!" says Randy, before disappearing in the closet.

The toys did a mini victory before the toys hurried back into the toy box and Woody went back to being limp into Andy's arms. Andy did wake a little bit and smiled relieved not to see Randy in his room, before cuddling Woody and going back to sleep. Andy's mom came to see what was going on and shook her head finding nothing out of the ordinary, going back to bed for the night.

"What was it?" asks Andy's dad

"Nothing dear, must have been my imagination" says Andy's mom

The dad shrugs and they go to sleep themselves.

The End
