Welcome back everybody! After a break in my holidays, I have decided to come back and write the sequel to my masterpiece. If you have read it, you shall know what happens. If not, what are you doing here? I am refusing to re-explain the previous events.
Disclaimer: I do not own Starcraft or any of its characters or concepts.
The soldiers were restless, as they always are before an encounter with the monstrous Zerg. They had been told that their whole planet would be teleported onto a Zerg settlement, with two hive clusters to deal with. The only ones who were confident in their chances were Jim Raynor, and his friends, Khaled and Ben. The world Raynor's men were on started to shimmer. Soon, it warped completely out of vision.
When the space around a large satellite was replaced by grass and water, the Zerg took absolutely no notice, continuing to transform the metal into resources for breeding. However, they did realise a change when several bullets came out of nowhere to destroy all the drones. The attack was undetectable, as the overlords couldn't get close enough to see, let alone detect cloaking. With no fear of detection, the soldiers quickly dispensed of opposition. With this done, the last of the Terrans took a 5-minute break before heading to the other cluster
As the army headed to the other side of the planet, the Queen of Blades felt a slight nervousness. Not only had the tactics shown proved surviving Terrans, but her mind could detect a soul that she had thought killed long ago. Feeling that her bodies real owner was beginning to struggle again, the false Kerrigan decided the only way to survive would be to crush the opposition. She sent special orders to the Cerebrate in charge of the planet, and then started preparing a heavy offensive force for crushing her foes.
The Terrans advanced on the hive in an offensive position, with a line of firebats in front, followed by a mixing of marines and Goliaths with siege tanks behind and Vultures and Ghosts flanking. Flying overhead were enough Battlecruisers to mount a small offensive of their own. Soon, however, a wall of lings rushed forward to take out the attackers. A combination of fire and bullets, however, tore up the defence quickly. Meanwhile a man named Ben raced right to the base and started tearing apart the world famous Ultralisks. However, new oppositions were heading out of hives and Nydus canals as fast as they were dying. Towards the back, a large group of hydralisks and mutalisks began evolving into their more advanced forms. The first finished was a mass of devourers and guardians, who instantly began wreaking havoc. While the army was busy dealing with this new threat, a group freshly spawned lurkers attached themself to a Wraith cloaking device, and slunk past the frontlines to where the psychicly inclined were doing their thing. By the time they were detected and destroyed, all those with mental gifts were either dead or unconscious. Almost at the same time, a wave of scourge tore through the hole in the defence made by the air barricade, and destroyed all Battlecruisers (including the one that Jim was piloting). Though the army's momentum dragged it through to victory, the two with the greatest capacity to lead were knocked out of business.
