I ran, I ran with enbarasment after i told him. before he even replied. i just ran. he probably thinks I'm weird now and stay clear of me. I can't beleive I told my best friend I liked him. I'm also a guy so that doesn't help.
My name is Shio Umi. Shio meaning "tide" and Umi meaning "ocean". I go to a crapy High School that doesn't really teach you anything and it's suposed to be the best in the Area that I live in. the only thing I look forward to is seeing Mori Hikari, my best friend. the guy who I think I love. I just know he won't feel the same way about me. I feel like a total loser. What am I going to do tomorrow about it?
I finally get home. the usual routine. Dog pounces on me, licking me to death, little sister complaining about everything. But, I can't get Mori out of my out of my head. Everything I've been doing recently he's been in my mind.
"hey big bro you look down what's up?" says Hana eating fruit for once. "whats wrong with you? your eating healthy for once." I said to annoy her. then she just stormed off to her room. Our parents are always working so I have to look after her. I do all the cleaning , all the cooking and everything else.
After cleaning up the mess the dog made eating. I just decided to go out for a while. I needed to walk the dog anyway. I called up to Hana, who was still in her room, to tell her i was going out to walk the dog.
I get outside with the dog going crazy on the lead. he calms down though, but then he starts barking at something. More like someone. It was Mori. I froze. Why is he here? Why? I don't want to see him right now. I'm too embarrised.
"Shio I think we need to talk." He says walking closer to me.
"W-what about?" I stuttered.
He stopped about a metre away from me. I tried not to look up at him, but i couldn't help it. " Umm about what happened earlyer. I-I didn't know you felt that way about me." muttered Mori quietly.
"Well i guess you just came here to make fun of me and tease me." I said sarcasticly. I pushed pasted him trying to leave my front garden. But he grabbed my shoulder firmly.
"LISTEN TO ME!" Mori yelled. I have a feeling my sister heard him. but luckly she didnt look out the window. he held my shoulder tighter, it actually began to hurt a little. but he sofened his grip a couple of seconds after.
" I...I want to tell you... my answer..."he said slowly, loosening his grip on my shoulder.
I stopped breathing. I didn't know what to think. I was scared to hear his answer. what was he going to say? what should I expect? will he reject me?
