The tortured emperor.
The waves were strong. Like a heard of stampeding Rhydons, they charge and smash their way through rocks and large boulders, taking with them the water Pokémon that are too small and weak to withstand the mighty waves. It was a terrible storm, one that would be recorded as being the worst ever.
Charging bravely through the storm, thrashing and forcing their bodies through the chaotic waves, is a group of Empoleons, being led by their fearless leader, Neptune.
Neptune was a huge male Empoleon. He was also a shining pokemon, which meant that he was a different colour from the rest of the group. When He was a Piplup, Neptune's trainer was bullied terribly because of his pokemon's strange colouring. So as a result, Nepute was seen as a failure and was Thrown into the sea while still inside his poke ball. He has never been able to trust humans ever since.
As he leads his group through the storm, Neptune catches sight of little Magikarp and Finneon being pulled and thrown by the powerful waves and he thinks about how weak and helpless he was as a Piplup. Just then, about 7 meters away, he spots land. He gives out a call as he turns himself towards shore. Then another thought from the past is unlocked, about when before he had his own group and how he always had to fend for himself with no one by his side.
At last they reach shore. It's a cold arctic land that is dominated by ice and snow, perfect for any emperor. Neptune immediately claims this land for his own and begins to scent mark the area. The other Emploeons also settle, chirping and singing happily to each other.
As night falls, the group settle down to sleep. Neptune however, stays awake, exploring his new kingdom. He waddles majestically, admiring the snow covered land as it gleams in the moonlight. He thinks about when he was young, how he always loved to play in the snow, but his heart sinks as he also thinks about how cold and alone he felt when he was abandoned, and how isolated he was trapped inside the dark and enclosed poke ball. It doesn't seem like he will ever be able to escape the memories of his past. His pale lavender colour stands out like a sore thumb. Atop small ice bergs, Spheal and Sealeo watch as Neptune slumps off back to the group feeling...Emotionally tortured.
