A/N – Ok, this is my first story ever, so I'm gonna make it a oneshot just while I get to grips with writing fan-fics. Hopefully this will be the first of many fan-fics from me!

His greatest day
As he sat in the little room in the back of the church, he knew he was making the right decision. Sure, it had taken him some time to realise it, but he and Tonks were meant to be together – he knew that now. He felt a mixture of both excitement and nerves at what he was about to do – the most important thing he would ever do in his life. In just a few short hours, he would be married!
"Remus, it's nearly time to go – are you ready?" Arthur asked softly.
Deciding on his best man had been tough for Remus; especially as all his closest friends were dead. He knew it should've been Sirius or James up there with him, but since they had both been cruelly taken from him by Voldemort, neither would get to witness the happiest day of his life. Remus had picked Arthur, because he had been one of the people who helped him realise his love for Tonks was real.
"I'm ready." Remus said, a lot more confidently than he felt.

Standing at the alter, he watched as Ginny gracefully made her way up the aisle. She winked at him as she took her place on the other side of him. Then, looking back down the aisle he saw the most beautiful woman in the world. As she slowly made her way towards him, accompanied by her father, she gave him the beautiful smile she reserved just for him.
Remus found himself wondering how someone as beautiful as Tonks could possibly love someone as old, poor and dangerous as him. Pushing all negative thoughts away, he reached for her hands, just as she reached for his.
"I love you." Tonks whispered as she took her place beside him.
"I love you too." He whispered back, with a grin.
"Remus John Lupin. Do you take Nymphadora Tonks to be your wife? Do you promise to love her in sickness and in health until death do you part?" Spoke the vicar.
"I do." said Remus, with a smile.
"Nymphadora Tonks. Do you take Remus John Lupin to be your husband? Do you promise to love him in sickness and in health until death do you part?"
"I do." Dora spoke softly while a tear escaped her beautiful eyes.
"I now pronounce you man and wife. You may kiss your bride" Exclaimed the vicar. Remus bent down and kissed his new wife.
And at that moment, he realised that this was truly, the single greatest day of his life.
