Here's an extremely short one-shot. (Is it a drabble?)

Cover isn't mine. It's by Viria, a wonderful artist that you should ALL support.

Levi could feel the chaotic aura all around him. The people that walked on both sides of the budding writer all showed signs of rush, or hurry. It was offsetting. These were the people who had yet to find their place in the world. And he was here, too, looking for something.

The actions of those near him were trivial in nature. One woman would hurriedly press the buttons on her phone and send a message. Somewhere else, another person would see the words that were meant for only him or her. People; trying to decide on their career, the courses they would take, or even what they would wear the next day.

Really, he thought, is this all there is to life? Does it only consist of confused undercurrents, swaying opinions, and an overall sense of restless anxiety?

But wait- who was that young man walking toward him (though not in his exact direction)? Who was he to look as if he were the very essence of serenity? Who was the brunet to walk with that relaxed, easygoing posture; to wear a grin on his face; to look as if he had everything laid out before him?

As Levi neared the brunet, he searched almost desperately (what had brought on this sudden interest in the other young man?) for a crack in what seemed to be an extraordinarily well-constructed facade.

Then Levi was shoulder-to-shoulder with the green-eyed stranger. In less than a second's time, the two had passed each other and were going in opposite directions. The writer needed to do something. He turned, catching the young man's shoulder with his hand. The taller of the two jolted and turned around, eyes wide.

"I- I'm sorry," Levi stammered. "I saw you and I just- I'm Levi. What's your name?"

The brunet's smile, which had momentarily slipped off of his face, returned. He sensed the unspoken compliment; it hung between the two of them like a ripening fruit, until the stranger broke the comfortable - yet slightly awkward – silence. "Eren," he said in reply to Levi's question. "I'm Eren."

I finished a test early, so I got a piece of paper out. Ten minutes later, this had written itself.
