Link sighed for the days were all blending into one another. After defeating Demise, he soon realised that he had no desire to become a knight any longer. Instead, he just wanted to settle down and live a long happy life. It didn't help that any sword he used didn't feel right since Fi had left him. The gentle lull of her aura had always soothed in his times of need and his times in which he was in dire need of embrace.
Embrace. That word brought up another, more painful thought. Ghirahim. The demon lord. He didn't realize until after that beautiful man was inside the sword that he had feelings for him. The times in when he had battled Ghirahim had been the most memorable of his adventure. That thought brought back the memory of defeating Demise. A never ending Goddess divined fucking circle. He wished it could end- or that he could go back. Relive his adventure, the places, the people, Ghirahim.
"Ghirahim."
"What where?" Link was knocked out of his musings with a start. He turned and glared at Zelda who was the one that had spoken. Everyone from Skyloft had begun a new life on the surface. They were settled just below where Skyloft was. During his adventures, Link hadn't seen this place, so Fi couldn't make a map for him. He, Zelda and Groose had spent some time charting out this new area and helping the people settle in. This area had several new creatures that called themselves Zoras. Speaking of creatures, the Gorons had finally settled down in the Eldin volcano. With their rock hard skin, they can easily mine the ore in the area and get A LOT of food from the rocks in the nearby areas. All in all life was good… for everyone but Link.
"So…rr…y Link," Zelda stuttered, explaining her earlier statement "but repeated 'hello Link's' were doing nothing."
"I understand Zelda, it's okay." Link said. He smiled as he rested his head against wall of the cottage. Zelda, Link and Groose had built it as their permanent dwelling on the surface.
"Link?"
"Yeeeeesss?"
"I… was wondering, uh, do you like me?"
"Oh course, Zelda, you're my best friend."
"No, Link, as more than a friend." Link's train of thought screeched to a stop. Do I love her? All that was passing through Link's mind at the moment. Zelda's face visibly dropped in color as he took longer and longer to reply.
"I… ah… I don't know Zelda." Was all he could stutter out. Zelda sighed, annoyed at Links inability to give her a proper answer. He had become more closed-in as time went on. "That's Okay Link, "she said as she stood and brushed off her pants "just tell me when you can think of an answer okay because I really, really like you Link." She finished and ran off to go visit Groose at his new house. He shared it with Peatrice after she had gotten over her obsession with Link.
Link stood and began to head to the newly built academy. He had made arrangements that he would help Fledge clean Gaepora's office while he was on Vacation by the Lanayru sand sea.

"Thanks for the help Link."
"No problem Fledge." Links said with a smile as he stood in Gaepora's new office. They had been spending the last hour cleaning. Link was just finishing dusting the book shelves, then he was going to bed. He was beat. Just as he finished, a book fell off the shelf. He read the title, The Hero of Time. I haven't read a good book in a while I don't think Gaepora will notice one small book; Link placed the book in his adventure pouch.

The sun flowed in Links open window. He grabbed the book he had taken from Gaepora's office last night and flipped it open. He found songs he could play on his harp. He flipped to an interesting one, The Song of Time. He played. 'B, G, A, B, G, A' Link thought as he played the song. The song hung in the air for a moment. he felt dizzy and as the ground got closer everything went black.
