The only three words I've been longing to hear for a long time.
And yet I ran away from those three words.
Tears streaming down, never looking back.
Afraid he didn't actually mean it.
Afraid of eventual rejection.

Afraid of those three words.
Maybe I'm just a coward, enveloped within my insecurities.

And standing in that quiet cherry blossom grove seemed like the right time.

I wasn't going to let her slip through my fingers after all those years of simply waiting.
