"Albus, you can't be serious," Professor McGonagall exclaimed when she heard the news.

Dumbledore sighed wearily, "Deadly."

"But where are we going to fit 20 more students let alone 500?"

"We are going to set up temporary tents on the Quidditch field while construction will be done on a new section of the fortress."

"It couldn't have happened at a worst time," Snape commented dryly.

Everyone present nodded in agreement

"Severus is right," Flitwick agreed as he struggled to get comfy in his chair, "Wouldn't it be safer for them to stay in America?"

Madame Pomfrey scoffed, "You want to leave at least 500 young wizards without training. That's a hundred times more dangerous than whatever You-Know-Who would do."

Snape gazed pensively at the fireplace.

"I hate the idea of having more brats running around, especially foreigners," Filch spat.

Spout, Dumbledore, and McGonagall shot him a disapproving look.

"Mr. Filch, has an excellent point," Snape stated carefully, "The new students will have no idea how things are run at Hogwarts coming from an uncivilized American school."

"We'll have to form welcoming committees," Spout decided.

Over top of her McGonagall exclaimed, "Severus, don't be so rude. It's not the children's fault the entire American wizarding society collapsed. So don't take it as a reason to be prejudiced against them as you are against all Gryfindors."

Snape's nostrils flared, "Take care Minerva to not be a hypocrite. I am sure you have some favorites specifically among the golden trio."

Minerva jumped out of her seat, "You dare call me a hypocrite! You are nothing but a-"

Dumbledore quickly interjected, "I agree with Pomona. We should form student welcoming committees. Sybil, any ideas?" Dumbledore asked forcefully.

Minerva sat down stiffly as Trelawney started speaking. "New students bode new trouble. Fire shall fall on everyone," She said mysteriously.

All the teachers tried in vain not to roll their eyes, but some were more obvious than others. Dumbledore, ever the diplomat, said, "Thank you, Sybil. We shall take that under advisement."

"When do the new students arrive?" Madame Pomfrey asked.

"Two weeks," Dumbledore stated plainly.

"Two weeks!" everyone exclaimed.

"Yes, now let's get busy."
