Usually drill, I'm not JK Rowling. I don't own any rights to Harry Potter. I write for my own enjoyment. Ferninkle gene I borrowed from Coral Grace. I mean no offence. Take this as a compliment for your imagination.
Wrackspurts are incredibly fascinating creatures. They are very small and make your brain go fuzzy. They are particularly active in June. I suspect that this is why many students find it hard to study for end of year exams. I have tried many times to submit my proposal to Professor Dumbledore that he should change the timing for them but he just laughs. Professor Snape, on the other hand, when I asked him if he could help me create a potion that would counter the effects so people could study better, sneered, then he said, no louder than a whisper:
"Miss Lovegood, if you dare try to foist these idiotic…fantasies on the sane people in this world I will have you scrubbing cauldrons from now until you have finished your school career. Now remove yourself from my office this instant."
I believe that he must be like this because he is mis-understood. Maybe people should be nicer to him. I mean, it's not his fault he has the dominant Ferninkle gene. People just don't comprehend how this gene can affect you.
The other girls in the dorm tend to ignore me which is incredibly rude. I tell them so and they burst out laughing. I can't see why. Being rude isn't a laughing matter. For that matter they refuse to believe in Crumple-Horned Snorkacks when all the evidence shows that there's no proof they don't exist. Some people need to broaden their minds a bit more.
Professor Trelawney however listens to me and is very interested in the existance of wrackspurts. When I told her that they also like to inhabit attics she said that was probably why most people struggled with Divination and would I possibly come and help rid them. I ever so nicely told her that wasn't possible but I would tell everyone how to protect themselves. Nobody listened.
Honestly! Just you wait. One day I'll prove they exist. Because wrackspurts really do exist.
