Hi everyone! Welcome back! Summer break started last week, and now I am free to FanFiction! I hope you enjoy, and I'll see you in the Amzoka's Corner at the bottom of the page.
It was late at night. Obiwan walked through the empty halls of the Jedi Temple. The quiet of the Temple made him feel at peace. He was unsure why up to now. As he came across the training rooms, he heard something. There was a faint hum of a lightsaber and the sound of someone jumping around. Who could that at this hour? he thought. He opened the door suspiciously, to find Ahsoka practicing her lightsaber form.
At first, he was surprised, but then came to realise he should have known better. Only Ahsoka would be training this hard. Especially since she just recently came back from Carlac… the crazy frozen planet with a Death Watch camp on it. Ever heard of it? Plus she only over-practiced when she was stressed or venting her anger. Ahsoka displayed much grace and strength as she practiced techniques with her lightsaber and shoto. Obiwan felt pride upon seeing her major improvement and how well his padawan could train an apprentice of his own, but quickly pushed the feeling aside.
"Ahsoka"
Upon hearing her name, Ahsoka spun around cautiously. "Master Kenobi!" she greeted, her head in a slight respectful bow. "I was training. That's all" she said. "Yes," Obiwan replied, "but there is plenty of time tomorrow. There's more to life than being a Jedi you know. Besides, you need your rest". "Yes Master" Ahsoka said as she began to walk out of the training room.
Suddenly, Ahsoka collapsed to the ground. A sharp pain shot through her torso. She felt as if her chest was on fire.
"Ahsoka!"
Later, Ahsoka sat bored out of her mind in the medical bay. She swung her legs back and forth, kicking at the bed. Just like her Master (who was sitting on a chair beside the bed), she hated going to the medical bay. Every time, it wasn't a pleasant experience, but could anyone blame her? The amount of times she's been injured and had to go there for treatment is kind of a lot. She glanced at the bacta wraps around her chest, which still had a burning feeling.
"What happened?" her Master asked. Ahsoka continued kicking at the bed and said nothing. "Ahsoka, what happened? How did you break two ribs during training?!". "They were already broken" the younger one explained flatly. "So Carlac, then?" Anakin guessed. Ahsoka nodded.
"And the pain had a delayed reaction?"
She nodded again.
"Overworked yourself last night?"
"I get it, Master! You know what's going on!"
There was a moment of silence. "I have… one more question" said Anakin. "Go ahead" Ahsoka replied flatly. "Why save him? After what he did to you?" he asked. "After he hit me with a taser and dragged me to a frozen planet with a Death Watch camp on it?" Ahsoka answered. Her Master nodded. The young togruta thought for a moment. "Because it's the right thing to do. Or at least that's what you taught me" she replied after a while. Anakin's eyes widened at that. Ahsoka was growing up, and he knew that.
The young master stood up. "Alright. Now get some rest before it's too late. You're gonna need it" he said. With that he walked out of the room, the blast doors closing behind him. Ahsoka lay down to sleep. The same words repeating in her head.
"Before it's too late"
