She dragged a small shoebox of pictures we took on our junior high trip out of the closest. It didn't look that bad for something that was under all of her shoe boxes. She grabbed the box and walked back over to the desk. She turned to face me before she asked me "Do you remember those days?" I smiled and told her yes. We started to crack up. We wondered whatever happened to all of the kids we went to school with. As we went to our class, I had to point to her picture. Yes, she slapped me and said "Not funny." She pointed to my picture. I had long hair back then. Nessie had such nice hair too.
"Jake, do you remember I was so shy back then?" she asked.
"Yes I do - you wouldn't talk to anyone, " I answered taking her hand. "I wonder whatever happened to Embry and Brady, " she asked as she was blushing.
"I knew you had a crush on Mr. Call, " I joked.
"Cold as you are, you knew I never did, " She laughed and punched me.
"My jokes aren't cold, " I pushed her away.
We both started to crack up now. That's what I love about her. She thinks when she acts Mrs. Tough woman she's cool.
"The last time I heard, he married Leah and they had a baby girl named Claire. He works as a teacher, " I said.
"Really, Leah? That's funny, " she replied as she closed the book.
"Yes, I know, " I smiled as I tickled her.
"Is Quil still friends with Embry? " she asked.
"They haven't talked to each other since graduation, " I answered as I tried to kiss her.
Believe it or not she stopped asking me questions and gave in to kissing me. I knew she liked the whole pack, especially me. I always liked her. I just made my mark. I knew she wanted me to kiss her. She's mine now. I have won.
