A/N: It's two thirty in the morning and I'm catching up on my Koryn's Responsible For This series. I got the idea for this one while showing Star Trek (2009) with my friend and beta Koryn Lloyd. Hope you like it!

The Rubik's Cube.

Koryn and Eira were watching Star Trek after leaving the local Comic Con. Koryn was trying to solve her Rubik's cube while watching the film, something Eira found slightly annoying at times, but quickly forgot it because of the events of the film. Until they got to the part where Nero tortures Captain Pike to get what he wants — and reveals his reasons as to why he's doing everything to begin with.

"Ugh, this bloke's annoying me," Eira complained.

"Uh huh." Koryn nodded, absent-mindedly.

"I want to throw something at him," Eira continued, her eyes scanning her surroundings, but she didn't exactly want to throw anything at the telly, let alone something breakable.

"Uh huh."

Eira's eyes darted from the telly to the dimension canon on her wrist, to her best friend and her Rubik's cube. Then something clicked in her mind and an idea popped up. You could practically see the lightbulb hanging above her head — unless you were Koryn, who was completely focused on her Rubik's cube.

The girl hooked her arm through her friend's and pressed a button on her dimension canon. They ended up at the exact same moment they were watching on screen — only now it was in real life, sort of. Eira snatched the Rubik's cube out of Koryn's hands and threw it at Nero's head.

"Hey!" Koryn complained. "What're you doing with my Rubik's cube?!" she demanded.

The cube hit Nero's head, and the fuming Romulan glared at the two girls.

"Well, fuck. Let's get out of here before he kills us." Eira pressed a button on her manipulator.

"But my Rubik's!" Koryn lunged forwards but they were already disappearing and were back in their universes. "Puh."

"Don't worry, I'll get you another one."

"Really?"

"Nope." Eira shook her head. "But we're going back to Comic Con tomorrow, so you can buy another one."

"I hate you."

"No, you don't."

"Yes, I do."

"I give you fanfics."

"True."

There was a moment of silence, in which only the dialogue of the film could be heard.

And then: "All right, I'll pay for your new Rubik's cube tomorrow," Eira conceded.

"Yay!" Koryn watched the rest of the film with a smile on her face.
