I wrote this after I read "To My Blood and Tears" by Athena (I love that
fic!). Umm... it's a little short but I hope you enjoy!

How could this happen?
A young man with cerulean hair was fighting his way through a particularly intense sandstorm. His clothes were torn and ratty, as if they'd been through a blender. His expression was blank, despite the shining tears that spilled from his eyes. His blue locks were sticking to his newly cried tears.
Why did you leave me?
Wormmon...

As the sandstorm died down, the boy was still walking. Dusk was nearing, and he knew he should get home before dark unless he wanted to be attacked. He trudged on in the hot sand, hoping he would reach the television before nightfall. Suddenly, his foot caught on something. He gasped and closed his eyes as he fell down. He hit the sand hard and groaned as it burned his face. He didn't bother to get up, despite the pain. Instead he opened his eyes to see what had brought him down. His eyes widened as they fixed onto the form of the object.
"Iie!" He whispered softly.
Two violet lenses, outlined in yellowish gold peered back at him. Memories began flooding back like rivers.
~"You sure have a lot of guts, sneaking into my base when I already control the powers of darkness."
"Ha!"~
~"This is a game. I hate people who don't know how to enjoy playing. I'll eliminate you...!"~
The boy began to climb up, hands digging into the burning sand. His arms felt hollow and once again, he plummeted towards the ground. He let out a loud sob and let the darkness take him.

He woke up a few hours later, the stars twinkling like diamonds. He felt extremely frail. He managed to roll over onto his back so he could see the sky.
"Kirei na... shikashi tsuki ano..."
The Digital moon was a pale blue, almost like...
Ice. Even the moon taunts me.
~"I wish Osamu would just go away!"~
~"Nii-san! Nooooo!!!"~
The icy moon. Just like my heart.
"Wormmon... Osamu... Gomen."
Farewell world...
Ken closed his eyes and his breathing began to slow down.
My heart will stay frozen forever...
