Dedication: I was going to take a break from drabbling until I got an email this evening. This is dedicated to Vanessa Sergoi who lost Levi, her 14 ½ year old little dog, today.
Something on his chest was pinning him down and making a lot of noise, which was currently spiking through his head and forcing him back to consciousness.
Shapeshifter!
Dean forced his eyes open and was met with a set of concerned brown ones. Real puppy eyes, not the usual ones. Wet tongue licking face.
Shapeshifter nowhere in sight, and no Sam yet either.
"Oh my goodness! Levi!"
A woman's face swam into view as she plucked the dog from his chest.
"Did he hurt you?"
"Actually, this brave little dude just saved my ass…" Dean smiled, struggling to his feet.
A/N: I know that nothing can mitigate the pain you are feeling today, Vanessa. I hope that this little tribute can be another memory of your Levi. My animals are a very big part of my family, so my sympathies and heart go out to you.
