A/N: Hello there! I have no idea why, but I had this sudden urge to write a
poem inspired by Pirates of the Caribbean . . . I haven't posted any poetry
on FF.net yet, so this is the first! Be kind!

A Pirate's Life for Me

Open waves rolling across the sea
Onto the boat, they call to me

Wind in the sails, rippling tide
As only one thing crosses me mind:

I can escape, I can be free
For this is truly where I want to be

Sailing on the ocean, aboard me ship
I pursue upon me very wish

No rules

No conscience

No holding back

You do what you do, no explaining that

For the sea is yours
As the sky above

Breathe in the salt air
Let it fill your lungs

And your heart, with a purpose

For adventure

For living

And action abound

You can live your life
No one will tell you how

So take what you can, give nothing back

And remember one thing:

You're a pirate!
