A/N: This is to balance out the angsty Thirteen/Cameron fic I posted yesterday. After all, with the holidays so close, everyone deserves a little Christmas cheer. :)

You don't know what's gotten into you. Maybe it's all the Christmas spirit going around, what with the holiday being only two weeks away. Maybe it's the flurry of snow that's dancing outside, announcing the first snowfall of the season. Maybe it's the holiday cheer that fills the clinic, as it seems that people have decided to put off their visits to the doctor until the holidays are over.

Whatever it is, it's making your stomach flip around with tiny little butterflies as you pin the sprig of mistletoe over a certain locker. Her locker. You've never had the courage to talk to her before, as you always find yourself hiding from her whenever you see her in the hallway. Your cheeks always fill with a blush whenever you catch her gaze, and you always have that ridiculous feeling that she can read your mind whenever she sees you.

But all of that's been pushed aside as you find this hidden courage inside you, pushing you to finally make a move on her. A part of you tells yourself that this is a bad idea, that it will only end in rejection, or worse, House finding out, but you decide to listen to the more hopeful part, the part that's encouraging you and making you feel excited at the possibility of what could happen.

You allow that part to fill you as you tie the red ribbon and note on the mistletoe, stepping back to admire your handiwork before you head out of the locker room. All you have to do now is wait.

It only takes an hour before she decides to head home, and you feel the excitement rising in you once again when you see her exit the elevator. You quickly sign off on the last report you've been working on before tossing a hasty goodbye to the nurses and heading into the locker room after her. Your locker is only a few down from hers, and you pretend to be busy with packing your bag as she heads to her locker.

She's surprised when she sees the green little branch tied above her locker and pulls down the note attached to it in curiosity. You watch as she reads your words- Because everyone deserves a kiss under the mistletoe…- and glances around the locker room, wondering who on earth would have left such a note for her.

It's then that she sees you as you close your own locker, heading closer to her as she addresses you, "Did you happen to see who left this here?"

A shy smile fills your lips as you lean against the locker next to hers, meeting her curious gaze as you respond. "As a matter of fact, I did."

It's then that she connects what you mean, and a similar shy smile crosses her lips as a light pink blush fills her cheeks. "Wow, Cameron,"

And your smile almost falters at her words, heart racing as you prepare for the rejection you've expected with this crazy little charade…

"I would love a kiss under the mistletoe."

And you finally stop worrying as she leans in to you, pressing her lips to yours as you feel her grin against yours. The kiss is gentle and warm and better than you ever imagined, and your heart skips a few beats as you realize you're actually kissing Remy Hadley like you've been dreaming about for so long.

She pulls away gently and you look into her eyes, filled with a sparkling happiness that you realize you've put there. You let out a small chuckle and you run your fingertips over her cheek as you find yourself saying "Merry Christmas… Thirteen." You call her by her ever present nickname and she returns your chuckle. "It's Remy. And Merry Christmas to you too."

You take her hand as you both exit the locker room, heading out the front of the hospital into the flurrying snow outside. You catch her gaze once again and she seems to read your mind as she leans in again, capturing your lips in another kiss as you both stand amidst the lovely snowfall.
