As the crowd around the three armored heroes dispersed, and the adults went home, the gang took to the skies and headed home as well. They headed to the armory to store the armors before heading to their individual homes.

But before Pepper walked out the lab door, Tony grabbed her arm. Pepper turned around to see a smile on Tony's face.

"Hey, I actually wasn't done telling you what I wanted to say earlier." He started. "I wanted to give you this," He said, placing his hands on her cheeks gently as he pulled her into him, placing his lips on hers, which caused a wave of different emotions to wash over her; striking her whole body like a lightning bolt during a thunderstorm. The feeling was surprising, although she had felt small doses before; as in, every time he touched her. She wrapped her arms around his shoulders as she kissed passionately in return.

Tony broke away from her with a smile.

"and to tell you that I really like you…I-I guess I realized it in these past couple weeks, but I was just afraid to tell you because I was afraid it'd cause me to lose you like I do everyone else I cared about in my life, a-and because I knew there was as much a chance you wouldn't feel the same way as there was you would. I-It's stupid, I know." Tony said. "I just figured centered by a whole town full of people who had just learned my secret identity as Iron Man wasn't the right time or place."

Pepper smiled and placed her hand gently on his cheek.

"Tony, you should never be afraid to lose me because we both know you can't live without me." She said, teasingly. They both did know it was true, though. "and you shouldn't be afraid to lose me because fact of the matter is I can't imagine my life without you. And I don't want to." Pepper said. Tony smiled.

"Good, because I have and it is really miserable." Tony said with a sigh of relief. Pepper giggled and slid her hand into his, squeezing it tight. Tony squeezed hers in return, promising himself that he would never let her go, no matter what it took.

Tony's smile widened as the two exited the lab together, only one feeling in mind at that moment…

Pure happiness.

…honestly, I dunno why I just said that like that. Oh well…*shrugs* but yeah, I got this idea after watching the last minute or two of the season 2 finale, the best part in the whole series where Tony (kind of) admits he likes Pepper and vice versa which is like a dream moment…what were we talking about?
