When She Crossed The Street
Chapter 1: Got Up And Ran Into A Pool
She blinked repeatedly. The feeling of a new atmosphere came upon her.
Her eyelids opened. She was not waiting to cross the street anymore, with busy thoughts distracting her from anything near.
"Am I dead?" she said. Her vision getting clearer, she was in a room. Everything white, not quite like heaven, but more like a blank piece of paper, dull. An uncreative sight, that made her feel more out of place.
"You're not dead." The voice was calm, it was a voice that Sakura never heard before.
Her body turned quickly toward the voice to accidentally bump heads with a boy.
Onyx eyes looked down at her no longer gentle. "Who are you? Why am I here? Where am I? Ahh my-"
"Haruno-san please calm down. You need more rest." Said a nurse.
The onyx eyed boy made a sarcastic remark. "If you haven't noticed your in a hospital."
"Uchiha-san you shouldn't be up either, get some rest." The nurse advised him.
"And who may I be speaking to?" Sakura said, if the boy didn't have such an arrogant attitude, and a penetrating smirk, Sakura would have thought he was hot.
"The person who saved you're life. I think you should treat me with more respect." He crossed his bandaged arms, he was sitting in a chair right beside Sakura's bed, Sakura wondered if he had been there the whole time waiting for her to wake up.
Sakura's mouth twitched, she was going to argue back deliver a blow to his big ego but she held back. He was telling the truth.
"What happened?"
He sighed and leaned back in his chair. "My name is Uchiha Sasuke. We were both waiting to cross the street. I was just minding my own business, I then started to notice your feet moving. Walking out, into the street of moving cars. I saw a car coming, you were about to get hit by it. I didn't know what to do. I just ran and pulled you out of the way. And here we are, no bones broken at all, just scratches."
Sasuke wasn't an asshole after all, Sakura thought, feeling a bit more attracted to him now.
"So you saved my life….wow." Sakura said, with zero sarcasm.
"The only real injury you got was when you got up and ran into the pole. I thought you'd see it coming." Sasuke said, now back with his sarcastic ass.
"Thank you." Sakura spoke, giving him a big hug. Sasuke had personal space issuses, so to Sakura it felt like hugging stone.
"…You're not very huggable." Sakura said, grinning.
