A/N: Hello all! My first Sherlock story, all bright and shiny!

Only it isn't really here. It's over at deviantART. You can find it under the same title at annanlove19 DOT deviantart DOT com. It has pictures going along with it, and pictures don't work here. I spent a long time with the pictures, and I'm not willing to part with them.

But, here is the first chapter to get you interested, and if you like it, head on over to my deviantART for more!

Chapter One: Heavy Metals

"Paresthesia. Desquamation. Tachycardia. Hypertension."

"Amazingly, as a doctor, I know about mercury." John brandished the thermometer. "Don't bite the glass."

"Ear thermometers—"

"Are rubbish," John interrupted. "Do you know what isn't rubbish?"

Sherlock's eyes glinted, fevered glaze brightening. "What if I'd rather you stick it up my arse than in my mouth?"

John turned bright red. "Just let me take your damned temperature."

"I have a great distrust of mercury and all heavy metals."

"I'll tell Mycroft if you don't," John threatened. "Unless you'd rather be in his care."

Sherlock glared, taking the thermometer.

"Mffumphfum."

John rolled his eyes. "Obviously."
