I don't own Harry Potter… This is just something that popped into my head randomly… It's just a very short one-shot, I hope you like it, let me know what you think if you want…
Just Like Her Mother
After dinner, the Weasley family sat in the sitting room together and talked about their day. Ron as always was complaining about his job as an Auror, but Hermione knew he really liked it. Hermione spent the day taking care of their new addition to the family, Hugo. Rose spent the day with her Aunt Ginny in Diagon Alley and was very excited about several things she got.
"Daddy, will you read to me?" Ron smiled down at his daughter.
"Of course, what will it be, Babbity Rabbity?" Rose giggled and shook her head. "Well go pick out a book and bring it back." She pulled a book from behind her back and handed it to him. He grimaced as he looked at it. "A Beginner's Guide to Transfiguration." He read the title out loud and looked exasperatedly to his wife. She chuckled lightly and continued feeding Hugo. "Are you sure about this one? How about a Quiddich one?" He looked hopefully at his daughter. She shook her head and pushed the book back to him.
"Daddy," she chastised him. "I only has 6 more years before I goes to Hogwarts. I has to be ready." Hermione smirked at her husband.
"She's like you, this one." He said to Hermione and pulled Rose onto his lap. "Alright, I suppose I can read a little of it to you, since you have to be ready for Hogwarts." He opened the book and frowned slightly. "The Principal Exceptions to Gamp's Law of Elemental Transfiguration." He continued reading for what seemed like forever to him, but in reality was only 5 minutes.
"Wait!" Rose stated excitedly and ran from the room. When she returned she had a piece of paper and a set of muggle crayons. "I need to write that down." She concentrated on the paper in front of her with her crayon poised.
5 Pincapal Esepshuns to Gamps Laws of Elmento Tranfigration.
Ron watched his daughter write down everything he had just read and glanced at Hermione. After she was done with her notes she stood up and yawned. "Thanks Daddy." She crawled onto his lap and was soon asleep.
"Exactly like your Mum." He chuckled as he tucked her into bed. He brushed unruly red curls off her face and kissed her forehead.
