The appartment was small, nothing special. But it was home, and both Sam and Freddie loved it. Complete with one bedroom, a kitchen, a bathroom, and a living room, they knew it'd be perfect for them.
Finally having all their stuff moved in and unpacked, Sam sat down in the living room. She flipped through the channels until coming to Spongebob.
Behind her, Freddie stood, his hand deep in his pocket. Pulling out the blue velvet box, he opened it, glancing at the small diamond ring within. Swallow hard, he pushed it back into the his pocket and ran a hand through his messy, dark hair.
Walking into the bedroom, he paced a couple of times before calling out, "Hey, Sam? Can you come here for a minute?"
Hearing a muffled groan, he got his reply, "Ugh, you're so needy Fredward." A moment later, she appeared in the doorway, her hand on her hip. "What's up?" She asked, arching her eyebrow.
Biting his lip, he shivered a bit and walked to her, kissing her gently and dropping onto one knee. With shaking hands, he dug into his pocket and pulled out the box. He looked up into her blue eyes, watching as his blonde-headed demon was completely silent, for once.
He couldn't bite back the grin on his face as he asked, "Would you mind if I called you Princess Benson from now on?" Surprisingly, his voice was firm and steady.
She stared at him a moment, before a grin broke out on her face. "Yes!" She shouted, laughing, "I mean, no." Shaking her head, her cheek light up, "I'll marry you."
Pushing himself up, Freddie took the ring from the box, which he tossed on the bed. Grabbing her hand, he slid the ring on her finger. "I love you, Sam."
Wrapping her arms around him, she kissed him, "I love you, too, Freddie."
