This is my first DOA fanfic so go easy on me! (I don't OWN the characters either...)
Midnight Moon
Staring at the twilight of the moon,Hayate reached down to his deepest memories. His mind was all focused,remembering everything that happened when he was someone he claimed to be Ein. His fake identity crushed his mind like powder coming from Fall leaves. He remembered when first he was Ein,he became a Karate Instructor. It used to be a perfect life,without him having to suffer amnesia. He remembered one of his students,Hitomi,was one of the best he had ever taught. She was also his master's daughter.
Hitomi seemed to have a crush on him,but he grasped at the feeling and broke it in pieces. He also remembered something major; when he was fighting in the DOA2 Tournament. He had a feeling of confidence of finding who he really was. It was all hard coming to battle with the world's greatest fighters,but he partially completed his goal. Although he had to fight Ayane,his half-sister,and Kasumi,his real sister. Kasumi wanted to find him and return him back home. But no,Ein wanted to take his own path,and he restored his memory at the end.He then gave up Karate and now fights with an Ninjutsu style. He wasn't Ein; he was Hayate.
How it was like to be someone named Ein wasn't much fun for Hayate. He had a funny feeling being someone who doesn't know his true identity. But he didn't want to remember these past events. He only has one goal for now; to lead the Mugen Tenshu Ninjas in battle. But the horrible feeling ached in him when he was in his present time. He followed all his leadership commands,but it was to destroy his sister; Kasumi. She became a run-away Shinobi to rescue Hayate and take him back home,but she is being chased by a group of Ninjas lead by her very own brother; Hayate!It was a hard choice of either following his own orders and defeating Kasumi in battle,or,for the own safety of her sister,do not defeat her.
Hayate really has feelings for her,but he will not reject his orders. In that time,he was participated in the DOA3 torunament. He had a different order and goal to achieve; defeating Genra/Omega,a monster created by a very soul of a real man. He defeated him in combat,but to face him he had to fight his friends and his family. First,he had to beat Ayane as usual. Then,it was his best friend named Ryu Hayabusa. He was a super ninja,with the same goal to defeat Genra/Omega. At last but not least,as usual again,he had to beat her sister Kasumi.She had broke the code of the Shinobi,and he had to hunt her down like a wild animal. After that,he managed to defeat her sister but not hurt her too much. After that,he faced off Genra/Omega and he defeated him.
Now that he was done with his missions,he had yet another objective; to destroy DOATEC once and for all in the DOA4 tournament! Now,he is working with Hayabusa and Ayane. But,along this mission,he is ordered yet again to defeat Kasumi. His true feelings for her will wait until he finally meets up with her. The past,present,and future was all an adventure for Ein/Hayate. The events caused to him to feel lots of different feelings. But for now,he would just have to hope for the best and continue his orders. Staring at the moon once more,Hayate tried to forget all that happened this night. The moon somehow reflected him like a mirror,and allowed him to take the time and express the feelings for himself in the past.
He will be back again just one more time,and hope that the moon will actually choose the path for him; defeat his sister or save her. The time is yet to come. So,with an all confused look,he forgot all that happened today at midnight. He lept off the branch of the tree and dived to the ground,floating in midair. Tomorrow,he will be back,to express to true paths to his life.
