Notes: This is my first time venturing into White Collar fanfic, so please be gentle :)

Peter was standing at the head of the conference table, his agents seated with notepads in front of them, listening intently as he briefed them on the current case. Neal was sitting off to Peter's right, a notepad in front of himself filled with his own scribbled notes and various doodles that Peter didn't even want to guess what they were.

The current case involved Ryan Parker, the owner and boss of a large cleaning company, suspected of destroying vital papers involving the benefits of his employees.

"So the cameras have Parker, in his office, setting light to the files using a large ornate lighter – somet..." Peter was saying but was interrupted by the sound of stifled laughter coming from his right.

"Something funny, Neal?" Peter asked, quirking his eyebrow at the younger man who was leaning back in his chair, hands folded on the table in front of him, a smile on his lips.

"It's nothing..." Neal said, but let out another short laugh before continuing with, "It just sounded like you were playing Clue for a second there" A childish grin lighting up his features.

A few stuttered laughs could be heard coming from the agents after Neal said this, much to Peters' annoyance.

"Okay, okay, back to the case at hand" Peter stated, making a calming motion with the hand that wasn't holding the case file.

"Just an observation..." Neal muttered a smile still on his lips. Peter saw him from the side of his eye, couldn't stop the slight curving of his own lips.

Briefings weren't boring when Neal Caffrey was around, that was for sure.
