She can't help staring at him, he was a good looking guy in a nice suit, and surely girls stared at him all the time. She barely notices the guy next to him, who happens to be staring at her. When he comes up to her, she gets butterflies in her stomach, he smiles at her, so she smiles back. "Hi," he says, "have you met Ted?" and then he was gone.
