Sleigh Ride ~ KT Tunstall
Just hear those sleigh bells jingle-ing
Ring ting tingle-ing too
Come on, it's lovely weather
For a sleigh ride together with you
The two teens sprinted down the streets, accidentally shoving people and slipping on ice. Both too anxious to realize they could fly the distance.
As they passed by each store, they heard bells ringing from the charity stands and Christmas music blasting off speakers.
"Come on!" she shouted in anticipation, while her blonde pigtails bounced.
It was tradition! Ever since the two were young kids they always went to a secluded meadow on the outskirts of Townsville, an area that only them knew about. Once they were their they built mounds of snowy hills, using super speed of course.
Outside the snow is falling
And friends are calling "You Hoo"
Come on, it's lovely weather
For a sleigh ride together with you
It was the perfect day to go sledding! The snow was crispy and crunchy, not too fluffy and not to icy, just perfect! Not to mention new snowflakes were slowly fluttering onto the open fields.
She patted the finished mountain and turned to grin at her counterpart, "Let's go!"
The hill was piled so high that no normal human could possibly climb it! It was a duplicate of Mt. Everest but even better!
Within seconds the two were at the top preparing themselves and positioning their sleigh for the most exciting sleigh ride together.
Giddy-yap giddy-yap giddy-yap let's go
Let's look at the snow
We're riding in a wonderland of snow
Giddy-yap giddy-yap giddy-yap it's grand
Just holding your hand
We're gliding along with the song of a wintry fairy land
They blasted down the hill in excessive speed. Both laughing and hollering out in joy. The wind whipped them in the face and the snow stuck to them as the zig-zagged down the steep hills.
As they looked around they felt like they were at the North Pole, experiencing the joy of being in a winter wonderland. Picturing Elves, Reindeer, Santa Claus and Candy Cane Forests!
Whether that be real or not this sleigh ride was still magical! Just holding the blue-eyed boys hand made her day, it made her feel like all of her dreams could come true.
He tightened his grip on her hand and smiled.
Our cheeks are nice and rosy and comfy cozy are we
We're snuggled up together like two birds of a feather would be
Let's take the road before us and sing a chorus or two
Come on, it's lovely weather for a sleigh ride together with you
As they went down the hills again and again they snuggled close to one another and could barely feel the harsh wind hitting their rosy cheeks. Bubbles snuggled against the boy and giggled, "I'm comfy and cozy."
Finally they came to an abrupt stop and went sailing through the air. Both landing side by side, face planted, in a heap of snow. They jolted upwards and started to hysterically laugh.
They fell back and laid beside one another just reminiscing the sleigh ride they experienced only minutes before. She smirked at him, "What did I tell you?"
He smiled back, "You were right it was lovely weather for a sleigh ride."
"What made it even better was it was a sleigh ride together with you."
