a/n: ok so this is what happens when I get bored in literature and language arts! my first humor story, yay! Whatever! It could appear sappy in some parts but stick through to the end! And then of course review!

Let me just start things off by telling you that taking a walk on a jellyfish covered beach was not my idea. It was Percy's.

He met me after dinner and told me that he wanted to take a walk on the beach, it didn't sound so bad so I agreed. We walked down to the sand and kicked off our shoes. I took one step and jumped back. My toes had touched something that felt like jello. I gingerly kicked off the sand to reveal the top of a jellyfish.

"Hey, Percy, I'm thinking this isn't such a good idea anymore."

He looked up. "What?"

"Um, jelly fish." Now that I looked the little things were everywhere. Tentacles splayed out, stingers still hungry.

"Not to worry." He walked past me straight onto the beach. I picked my way after him trying not to get stung every 2 inches. When I caught up to him he had stopped knee deep in the waves, standing as still as a statue.

"You are going to get stung."

"Not by a live one. They're sea creatures so they'll steer clear of me because I'm the son of Poseidon."

"Could you make that extend to me?"

He looked deep in thought then replied. "Yeah, extends to you now. So do you want to walk or what?"

We walked through the surf hand in hand going deeper until the hem of my shirt was wet. Unexpectedly he scooped me up bridal style and I couldn't help laughing. The sky was beginning to turn hues of pink and orange in the sunset, as perfect as a picture.

He looked down at me and said, "I never want to forget this moment."

I looked at him quizzically. "Why?"

I thought he was about to go into some deep and sappy rant about friends and life and love but instead he smiled like Connor Stoll and replied, "Because of this."

And he dropped me in the water. Almost immediately he was under with me and we were enveloped in a giant air bubble.

"You had to do that didn't you? Now im soaked!"

"It was so worth it! If you could've seen the look on your face!"

I started laughing and he kissed me.

I started to wish that the walk had been my good idea.
