INTREPIDITY
This is the Gryffindor class of 1992-1998. We were the ones who were there when the war engulfed Hogwarts and her inhabitants and Hogwarts essentially was under a reign of terror. When Hogwarts was attacked, the onus of defending her and her grounds fell on us. Every Gryffindor rallied to her in spite of anticipating the possibility that we may pay with our lives, but we were not deterred. We did not relent.
Gryffindors paid the price of valor. From our midst were taken young beautiful souls, eager, full of life and hope, driven and strong, and selfless enough to realize that something much bigger was at stake. They gave something much bigger than we did. And we honor them. We who survived will remember their names and the sacrificed they made.
We carry them in our hearts and minds. We take solace in our fond memories. We recount their deeds, the moments of valor in the face of overwhelming odds, where seventeen and sixteen year olds paid the ultimate sacrifice.
Dedicated to those who laid down their lives in defense of Hogwarts and because they knew to walk away silently was wrong.
