This was written for The Anything You Wanna Write Competition - Audition Week over at HPFC (What? Is she crazy? She's doing challenges again?). But yeah. I hope you enjoy:) My first attempt at writing Next-Gen stuff xD
The Birds and the Bees
By silver-nightstorm
Summary: "Well, she's thinking about the birds and the bees." Drabble-ish. Louis Weasley is a curious little child.

He was plenty old, he thought. In Louis Weasley's opinion, he was very old now. Seven was practically ancient. Any older and he'd be older than a dinosaur, like Papa. He didn't understand why his oldest sister kept secrets from him and Dominique. He was a big boy now, finally seven, and whenever he questioned his biggest sister on anything, she simply giggled and said, "Don't worry, Louis! I'll tell you when you're older!"
Mama said he was a big boy now. Why didn't Dominique and Victoire agree? "We'll tell you when we're older." Louis highly disliked those words. They made him feel stupid and little. And he was not little. He was a big boy, through and through. Why did Victoire get to know anything? She was silly, with her giggling and her secrets and her covert glances. Ever since she started going to Hogwarts last year, she would always keep secrets from Louis and Dom. She never did that before. Louis didn't like the change in his biggest sister.
He wanted to know secrets! He could keep very good secrets! He never told Mama all the secret presents that Papa would get her, and he never told Papa when Mama was making his favorite food!
But when Louis asked Mama what Victoire was all giggly about, he was deeply disappointed.
"Well, she's thinking about the birds and the bees," said Mama, hardly looking up from her papers. She sat at the counter top in the kitchen, her glasses perched on her nose and her blonde hair tied back, looking over accounting records for Gringotts.
"What is that?" asked Louis.
"You know what birds and bees are, darling!" said Mama, smiling slightly. "She's just laughing about them." Mama then shooed Louis out of the room, smirking slightly at the befuddled look on his face.
Four years later, Louis received an uncensored version of the tale from Teddy.

Just a little drabble. I hope you like it! It was all I could really whip up in this time, but hopefully it's nice :)
