Hide and Seek
Loud footsteps echoed throughout the Autobot base as Bulkhead made his way down the long corridor, heading towards the rec room area. The large Autobot stopped in his tracks outside the entrance as his optics came across Bumblebee, who was busy searching the room for something.
"Whatcha lookin' for, little buddy?" Bulkhead asked the small yellow bot.
"I'm looking for Sari." Bumblebee answered his friend as he looked inside a bunch of empty oil drums.
"You lost Sari!" Bulkhead cried in disbelief.
"Cool your circuits, big guy" Bumblebee said reassuringly. "We're just playing hide and seek."
Bulkhead scratched his metal head in confusion. "What's that?"
"It's a fun game organics play." Bumblebee replied.
"Doesn't sound that fun to me." Bulkhead said, while folding his big arms disapprovingly.
"Why don't you help me look for her?" Bumblebee said, walking up to Bulkhead. "I could use all the help I can get."
Bulkhead unfolded his arms and let out a small sigh. "Where do you want me to look?"
"Well, I've already checked this entire area" Bumblebee answered. "We should go and take a look around the doc bot's med lab."
...
"What are you two slag heaps doing?" Ratchet said irritably as Bulkhead and Bumblebee entered his med lab.
"Have you seen Sari?" Bulkhead asked, looking around the room.
"No I have not." Ratchet replied impatiently.
"Are you sure?" Bumblebee said, scratching his head.
"Yes I'm sure!" Ratchet growled. "Now please leave me be. I gotta lot of work to do here."
Bumblebee let out a disappointed sigh. "Come on, Bulkhead, let's go check out the monitor room.
...
"So let me get this straight" Optimus Prime said, looking up from the monitor screen. "Sari is hiding somewhere in the plant, and it's all for some fun organic game?"
"It didn't sound like too much fun to me either." Bulkhead replied.
"I'm afraid I haven't seen her" the autobot leader said, getting up from his monitoring chair. "You might wanna check with Prowl and Ratchet. Maybe they can help you. I'm much too busy right now."
"We've already talked to Ratchet." Bulkhead said.
"And boy was he happy to help us out" added Bumblebee with a laugh.
Bulkhead scratched his head. "Where is Prowl?"
"I think he's in his room meditating." Optimus answered him.
"Of course he is" Bumblebee exclaimed as he and Bulkhead turned to leave the room. "What else would he be doing?"
...
All was silent in his room, as Prowl continued with his ninja meditations. But all wasn't quiet for long as Bumblebee and Bulkhead entered the area, their loud footsteps making it hard for him to continue his meditating.
"What do you two want? Prowl said with a sigh. He got up from the floor and walked over to his fellow teammates.
"Have you seen Sari anywhere?" Bumblebee asked.
"We can't find her anywhere." Bulkhead said sadly.
"Really?" Prowl replied turning his attention to the large tree that grew inside his room. "Have you checked behind the tree?"
Glancing at one another, Bumblebee and Bulkhead walked over to the tree and took a look behind it. To their surprise and amazement they found Sari grinning up at them.
"Took you guys long enough." she said, jumping up on Bumblebee's arm and climbing up on to his shoulder.
"You know what this means, don't you?" Bumblebee said to his friends with a big grin on his face.
"What?" asked Bulkhead and Sari at the exact same time.
Bumblebee let out a laugh. "It's my turn to hide."
