Prologue
He could feel the wind running through his cropped hair, smoothing down its tangles. It was not the usual calm breeze that always greeted him when he takes out his Slice of Life. The one with the calming ocean scent that cooled down the Miami heat. The one that would take the small splashes from the waves and sprinkle it over his skin. No, this was the storm that would take his life.
As Lara closed in, Dexter gripped the wheels of his 2001 Century 2901- his trustworthy companion. It never questioned its job, be it taking out his family for a fishing trip or taking away the bodies. Dexter was just like that a few years earlier. Never questioning his way of life. He killed because he had to. There was no pondering on morality or justice. No deep epiphany. He simply did his job as best he could.
The hurricane was so close now and he wondered how he would die. Maybe the wind would just take his breath away? Was that even possible? Or perhaps he would merely get pulled down into the water. Maybe, as his boat gets obliterated, its pieces might fly into his body, piercing his arteries. It would be suiting after all, to be brutally butchered apart.
Dexter closed his eyes. And met his victims once again.
A/N: So... the Dexter finale... this is my little rendition of the last episode. Basically, as he is going into the storm, he meets them all. The major the victims. Simple. I was thinking of doing a completely alternative ending but settled with this. So, what did everyone think about the last episode? Loved it? Hated it?
Oh, and reviews are much appreciated!
