A/N: How's your life, guys? My life pretty sucks. School really burdens my fanfiction writing time, but not enough to stop me thinking and writing a one-shot.
I hope you guys enjoy, especially you guys in the USA. Hope you had a great independence day. This is an alternate end of the episode, "Not what He seems." If you haven't watched it (And it's highly unlikely.), don't continue.
It all seemed so slow, almost as if time itself had stopped.
He felt a huge kick from the portal when the clock finally ran to zero. His trademark blue and white hat left his head and lazily drifted through the open space. The bright flash forced his eyes to close shut as the feeling of gravity felt absent from his body.
He could feel the invisible force moving slowly across his body, the slow exchange of air through his nose, his pulse echoing in his ears, the pressure of his fingers against his palm, but he also felt something else.
He was getting weaker as seconds passed.
He opened his eyes slowly, his curiosity outweighing his fear of the bright flash, and saw a huge trail of blood floating away from him, the perfect red droplets spreading out. He gasped as he looked towards the source.
His neck, opened up by three small yet deep slits.
He quickly wrapped his hands around the wounds, but as he applied pressure, he also felt suffocated. He tried, inhaling deeply before he reapplied pressure, repeating this motion with every rapid, panicked beat of his heart.
Soon, gravity came back, pulling him back to solid ground headfirst. His head swam as blood flowed freely from his nose. His eyes were closed from the painful landing, and his hands were still on the small slits on his neck.
The whole lab was silent, until someone called out his name.
The boy subtly opened his eyes to the familiar voice, the voice of his twin sister, before he began to cough.
He was still breathing, but for how long? His breaths were getting shorter and fainter as time passed by. His hands were getting weaker, rendering his plan to prevent any more bleeding useless.
Was it over for him? Was his sister going to lose her brother?
She ran towards him, worry strewn across her face as she knelt and held his body tightly, her muffled voice saying, "Don't die on me! Please! I'm sorry!"
He coughed, staining her sweater with small red drops. She lifted her head, giving him room to breathe as she looked at those dying eyes, the last teary glance ever made.
He held her shoulder, squeezed it tightly and said, "I forgive you."
His eyes closed as his head fell back, his body going limp in her arms.
The girl shook his body as tears streamed down her cheeks. "Wake up! Please! Don't leave me!"
Their uncle stepped forward and placed a calming hand on the girl's shoulder. It was done. There was nothing she could do. He glided his fingers across the boy's face and closed his eyes, before removing his jacket and throwing it over the body.
He made to lift the body, but the girl was holding on too tightly. "No! I can't! I can't!"
"Soos?" the old man said, a silent request in his eyes.
The young man nodded before he held the girl, forcing her to let go over her brother's body. She cried, thrashing against her restraints, begging not to be separated with him, but to no avail. Their uncle carried Dipper's body away and into the elevator.
Before the elevator doors closed, the old man watched his niece being comforted slowly by his brother and his employee. With a whisper, he said, "I'm sorry."
A/N: TotalGeek, or Hallie is having the worst time of her life. If you're expecting the next chapter, then you'll be sad to hear she's in a depressed writer's block.
Hope you'll write again soon Hallie
And also, Thanks to Alyssaui for editing this one shot. Without you, Well, I dunno what might happen to me.
