Another original Thomas story, this time it's "Sleeping Issues" with added lines by tate310. Enjoy and comment.
It was nighttime on the Island of Sodor. Children were already asleep, and it was very peaceful.
At Tidmouth Sheds, Thomas had just finished another story about a railroad owned by Sir Topham Hatt.
"Good night everyone." said Thomas.
"Good night Thomas." replied the other engines.
Soon, all the other engines were fast asleep.
Percy loves sleeping to James's peaceful breathing, because according to him, he says it "flows"
The next night was different. Lots of snow had fallen, and the tracks were covered in snow. This caused confusion and delay.
Sir Topham Hatt arrived at the sheds. He was in a great hurry.
"Thomas, you are to plow the tracks with your snowplow. I know it's late, but you a really useful engine, and we don't want any accidents tomorrow."
Thomas hated snow, but he agreed to plow the snow. He didn't want confusion and delay.
Then, Sir Topham Hatt turned to James.
"You need to do the coal run James. Tomorrow is going to be a very cold day.
James puffed away.
However, Percy felt upset. How would he get to sleep tonight?
The only engines in the shed were Edward and Gordon.
Percy turned to Edward.
"I can't sleep without James's breathing!" said Percy. "It flows my boiler and helps me get to sleep!"
"That's alright Percy. Sometimes, you just need to fall asleep yourself." replied Edward.
"This is terrible!" moaned Percy. "With James doing his coal-run, I have nobody to help me get to sleep!"
But Edward didn't reply back. He had already fallen asleep.
Percy tried to fall asleep himself, just like Edward said, but he couldn't!
"How am I going to sleep!" he moaned.
Suddenly, he heard someone snoring. He looked around, only to find Gordon, who was snoring deeply, like he always did.
This made Percy feel at peace. The smooth sound of Gordon's snoring helped Percy fall asleep.
Percy had learned that having a substitute sleeper when you can't sleep can be the right thing.
