Bite Me

"You don't really want this, Ichigo," Renji hissed, his red eyes narrowing as he attempted to pull out of Ichigo's grasp.

"Oh yes I do," Ichigo said, holding Renji in place with one hand on his wrist and another clamped on the back of his neck, fingers tangled in the long red hair blowing wildly in the cold autumn wind.

Renji stopped struggling, and moved nearer, shoving Ichigo up against the wall. "You got any idea what this means?" he asked, his long fangs gleaming wetly as he spoke.

Ichigo nodded. "I do," he insisted, tilting his chin and pulling Renji's head down toward his neck. "Do it, Renji," he rasped. "I want you to!'

"Just remember you asked for this," Renji growled, pressing his entire body against Ichigo and lowering his mouth down to brush his lips over the soft skin. He opened his mouth wide, licking a long stripe across Ichigo's neck, savouring the quickening heartbeat for a moment before—

"Will you two cut that out?" Rukia's voice was nearly blown away in a gust of wind.

Startled, Renji looked up to see his diminutive friend standing just outside the entrance to the costume shop. Beside her, Karin and Yuzu stared in slack-jawed amusement at the two shinigami huddled against the side of the building.

Renji popped the fake fangs out of his mouth and smirked. "Aw c'mon, we're just gettin' into character for the party."

"Hey, did you get some more fake blood?" Ichigo asked, grinning eagerly.

Rukia planted her hands on her hips and shook her head, exasperated. "You've both been acting like idiots all day."

"It's Halloween, Rukia, that's what it's for," Ichigo told her as they headed back to the clinic to dress for the party. She just shook her head again and laughed.

Walking behind Rukia and his sisters, Ichigo nudged Renji and leaned toward him. "Hey," he said, grinning.

"Hmm?"

"Let's finish that later."

Renji snickered.
