Introduction
Captain Leland Stottlemeyer and TK Stottlemeyer are having a baby and they want to name a godfather. Who will they choose? Will he accept?
Mr Monk the Godfather
"Leland I am 8 months pregnant and I can do things by myself", TK says folding the laundry
"I know. But don't do too much. That baby need's it's mother", Leland replies
"Who are we going to name as Godfather and Godmother?" TK asks Leland sitting down to rest
"What about Natalie for the godmother?" Leland asks
"Yes she is my friend. I think that is a good idea. But who for the godfather?" TK asks
"You're going to think I am crazy but I want Adrian to be Godfather. I have known him longest. He has changed sensed the getting his wife's killer. I want him to be the godfather", Leland says
"I think that is a great idea. So we have our godparents. Now all we have to do is tell them", TK replies
"Not to the baby is born. It can be a surprise", Leland says kissing her
"I agree. Now help me with the rest of this laundry", TK says getting up again
One Month Later: November 7th
Leland walked out of the delivery room with a smile on his face.
"What is it?" Natalie asks excitedly
"A girl. I have a little girl", Leland says in wonder getting hugged by Natalie
"Congratulation's Leland", Monk says giving him a hand shake
He didn't use wipes anymore when he shake's people's hands. He had gotten over that after that nearly getting him killed.
"Can we see her?" Natalie asks
"Yes come with me the both of you", Leland says showing them into the room where TK lay propped up by pillows with a pink wrapped baby
"She is beautiful", Natalie says quietly looking at the newborn
"What is her name?" Julie asks
"Adrianna Trudy Stottlemeyer", TK replies
"After her godfather Adrian Monk", Leland says looking at Monk
"You want me to be godfather?" Monk asks shocked
"Yes. You're my best friend. Will you be?" Leland asks
"It will be my honour", Monk says shaking Leland's hand again
"Will you like to hold your goddaughter Adrian?" TK asks
"Yes I would", Monk says gently taking the baby off TK
Adrianna had brown hair and she took after her mother in the other places.
"I will always protect you", Monk says
"I hope you will", Leland says to Monk
"I make that promise. And I will keep it", Monk says looking down on his sleeping goddaughters face
He was thinking how happy he was to be chosen as godfather and to have such special friends to name him one. This was one of the happiest moments in his life. He would protect little Adrianna even if it cost him his life like Leland did for him. He was going to be the perfect godfather to the baby. The best of the best…
