Yes, I realize that Altair doesn't speak at all in this. Just deal with it and enjoy the fluff~ This is a request/challenge from EpikalStorms.

"I told you we were lost!" Malik complained, sitting down on a log near a river.

They had been walking for so long, neither of them remembered what they were even walking for.

Altair dismissed the comment and took his cloak and shirt off, edging over to the river to clean the blood from them. He had been meaning to do this for a while but never really had the time. Altair also couldn't swim, so he usually tried to avoid deep water.

Malik was about to help him when he got an idea that seemed like it would be fun.

He began to whistle casually and slowly walked up behind Altair. He couldn't help but notice the old scars that were scattered over Altair's back, also noticing his toned muscles that rippled under his skin as he scrubbed the blood out of his hood.

Reaching his hand out, he placed it firmly on the assassin's back and gave a hard shove before he could even say anything. This caused Altair to flail his arms wildly before landing in the previously calm river with a loud splash, upsetting the water and splashing Malik.

Altair gasped for air and struggled to keep his head above the water.

"What's the matter, Altair? Can't swim?" he joked.

For a moment, he just waited for him to swim back to land but that didn't happen. Instead, Altair began to sink.

It was Malik's turn to panic. He dove into the water and grabbed Altair around his waist, kicking the water to propel them upward. When they resurfaced, Malik put Altair on the ground gently.

Altair began to cough and shake in fear, curling into a ball. Malik put his hand on Altair's back and sighed.

"I'm sorry... I didn't know you couldn't swim..." he expected to be strangled, hit or yelled at, but no... His apology was met with quiet sobs.

Crying?

Malik couldn't believe it, he had caused Altair to cry. This made his heart sink. He immediately brought Altair into a hug and held him as best as he could.

"I'm sorry... I'm so, so sorry!" Malik said repeatedly.

Altair's tears soon subsided, leaving his cheeks tear-streaked and his eyes red and puffy. Malik looked down at him and realised that Altair had leaned into him and had wrapped his arms around him.

He smiled and kissed the top of his head, finally showing his true feelings. Altair looked up at him and out of nowhere, pressed his lips against his.

After that, they just sat there for a while in each other's embrace before getting up and returning back to finding their way back home.

It's not the best and it kind of has a weird, fluffy ending... I apologize if you don't like it. This is my first time writing anything for Assassin's Creed. After looking things up to get the feel of the characters, I have found that I am now an Altair fangirl and I now like the MalTair pairing. (I don't know the official name for the pairing so I just came up with one.)

So, here's to EpikalStorms! I hope you liked it~
