Saturday

Summary: Sometimes love is found in the simple things.

A/N: I'm flyin' high on vicodin right now (cause I had surgery yesterday) and this scene popped in my head and I'm just rollin' with it. If you don't like it, blame it on the pill.

Lindsay Monroe woke up to an empty bed on Saturday morning. Frowning, she tossed back the covers and climbed out of bed. She picked up Danny's abandoned white button down and pulled it on, buttoning a few of the buttons. Running a hand through her messy hair, she stumbled out of the room and into the kitchen.

Her feet padded quietly across the cold wooden floor and she smiled when she spotted him. Danny Messer was in his old beaten down lazy boy; he wore nothing but a pair of grey sweat pants and his hair looked like it hadn't been brushed in a year. Good Morning America played on the TV and the volume was on low.

"Good morning." She whispered in his ear, wrapping her arms around his neck and pressing a light kiss to his morning scruff.

"Hey Gorgeous." Danny chuckled.

"You could've woke me up." Lindsay told him; she walked around the chair and plopped down in his lap. His arms snaked around her middle and her head rested on his shoulder.

"You pulled a double, you needed all the sleep you could get." Danny shrugged.

"You're perfect." Lindsay kissed him lightly.

"You're still half asleep." Danny laughed, running his fingers through her curls.

"Mmm." Lindsay murmured. Her head rested on the left side of his chest, listening to his heart beat. Her nails trailed down his chest and her breath warmed his cool skin.

"Ya hungry?" Danny asked, "Make ya an omlet?"

"You move and you're a dead man walking." Lindsay informed him.

"You're the boss." He chuckled, pressing a kiss to her temple.

"Damn straight." Lindsay let out a sleepy giggle.

"Go back to sleep."

"Nuh-uh." Lindsay protested as Danny traced circles on her earlobe and she yawned.

"Go to sleep." Danny repeated, kissing her nose.

"But this is the only day off we have together this week." Lindsay let out a weak protest.

"Fine." Danny knew better than to fight with her.

"You love me." Lindsay teased, pressing a kiss to the corner of his mouth.

"You aggravate me."

Lindsay whacked his chest lightly and leaned forward, grabbing the paper off the coffee table. She turned in his lap and grabbed his glasses off his face, sliding them on her nose and opening to the sports page.

"Hey!" Danny protested, "Get your own."

"Why? Yours are more convienent." Lindsay chuckled, skimming over the page, "Yankees lost to the Mets. 7-15."

"They did not!" Danny grabbed the paper from her, "You're a liar, Montana."

"Gotta keep ya on your toes, Cowboy."

A/N: I know it was short, but I'm tired. So deal with it. K? LOL. LOVE YOU ALL
