Eight year old Milly Shepard sped home, trying to ignore the taunts of everyone.

'Stupid Pierre Petit never shuts up' she thought angrily.

"You're the spawn of Satan! You're the spawn of Satan!" A young masculine voice yelled in French behind her.

"Shut up!" Milly yelled as she turned around.

"Oh, is poor little Milly scared of me? Poor Milly" Pierre teased.

"I would not advise teasing me, Pierre" she growled.

"Why not? Are you going to hit me" Pierre said before he put on a baby voice. "Is poor little baby Milly going to hit me?"

Milly ran back to her flat, tears streaming down her face. But then she realized Pierre lived in the same flat as her. Groaning, she opened the door. The redhead dumped her bag on the floor and went through to the lounge. She turned on the TV and did not hear her Mom walk in.

"Hey, sweetie, how was school?" Jenny Shepard asked.

But Milly did not answer her. Instead she just focused on the television screen.

"Milly honey, what's wrong?" Jenny said to her daughter softly.

"Stupid Pierre Petit. He keeps saying I'm the spawn of Satan" Milly cried.

Jenny wrapped her arms around her daughter.

"Oh Milly" she whispered.

"He won't stop! He's not going to stop saying it!" Milly sobbed.

"He might one day, you never know" Jenny whispered as she rubbed her hand on Milly's back to comfort her.

"Mom, I want to go back to Naples. I want to see all my friends. I don't want to be in Lille" Milly cried.

"My assignment ends in two months. After that you and I will be in Moscow for a while" Jenny told her.

"Thank goodness" Milly sighed in relief.

"I love you darling" Jenny whispered.

"I love you too Mommy" Milly replied.

The next day, which was Saturday, Pierre and Milly experienced something neither of them would ever forget. Jenny had been at work and then she got back and picked Milly up from her friend's house who lived across the street. When she and her daughter got into the apartment, something happened.

"Hey Milly, did you know your skin is so pale you're blinding everyone within a five mile radius?" Pierre sneered to her.

Milly raised her hand and punched him square in the face.

"You're an idiot, Pierre. You get so much happiness out of making people miserable" she replied angrily before she followed her Mom into their apartment.

"Oh oh" she muttered when she saw her Mother's facial expression.

"'Oh oh' is definitely not what I am thinking right now young lady! You are grounded for one week! You're not allowed to go anywhere without me or another adult present!" Jenny raged.

"OK Mom" Milly said.

And so Milly served her punishment for punching Pierre Petit in the face and Pierre Petit stopped bullying Milly Heather Shepard.
