Luna Lovegood stared out the Ravenclaw Tower Window. It was night time and she couldn't sleep, not that she'd be able to anyways as most of her night things were stolen.
Again.
The 4th year blonde pressed her forehead against the cold glass, closing her eyes in thought.
People made fun of her, they made fun of her a lot. It was the way she acted, talked, thought and sometimes even LOOKED.
It hurt her that people, especially kids could be so cruel. She was in Ravenclaw for a reason after all.
She would have reported the thefts long ago but she felt Professor Flitwick wouldn't listen to her, casting her off as barmy or chiding her for trying to frame other people.
She gave a soft sigh, her life was utter garbage and she knew it.
First her mother died, which lead to her believing in things that were believed to be unreal, although she felt that if she went out of country she'd find them, but after that her father tried his best, but they both knew it was almost a losing battle.
When she went to Hogwarts she was initially shunned, having no one to turn too.
Then she met Ginny, a flaming red haired angel who showed her what a true friendship could be like.
She was introduced to another good friend. Harry Potter.
Harry was sorted into Ravenclaw last year, but had never talked to the boy, he was kind to her, much to her initial surprise and was close to tears when he asked to be her friend, as she only nodded yes.
She felt a soft touch on the back of her shoulder, and an equally soft voice laced with concern. "Luna?"
The blonde turned her attention to see two beautiful green eyes. "Hello Harry." "How long have you been out here?"
Luna shrugged a little. "I really don't know, I came down here around 9." Harry frowned. "Luna it's 11. You've been out here for two hours bye yourself?"
Luna nodded. "Why?" Luna looked up into Harry's eyes and she knew that lying would get her no where. "I was thinking."
"About what?" "About my life." Harry nodded then pulled the 4th year into a hug. "Just remember, I'm always here if you need me, remember that alright Luna?" Luna nodded. "I will Harry." The 5th year smiled. "Now get up to bed Ms. Lovegood. You have classes tomorrow."
Luna rolled her eyes and smiled a bit. "Alright I'm going. See you tomorrow Harry." Harry grinned. "See you tomorrow."
As Luna was starting to fall asleep, she gave a tiny smile. Harry was like a big brother to her, and she knew he'd never leave.
Now if there was only a way to get him to admit his feelings for Ginny...
