I hope you enjoy this. During a sleepless night this popped in my head. ^_-

The two moons hid behind some clouds while Rayman was looking for a good place.

The only sound that was audible were the limbless' footsteps and the lums passing by every now and then. Rayman paid attention of what color they were. But every time he saw one, he was relieved to see that they were either red or green. Blue ones lived underwater and everyone knows yellow lums belong to the heart of the world. So seeing one would mean skipping the hero's precious rest and finding out what the problem was.

But there was no reason to be worried, everything was fine.

Except for the fact that there seemed to be no place in the forest for Rayman to sleep. With every corner that wasn't suitable the limbless was losing his temper.

"Finally", he spoke out lout with a relieved sigh. He ran up to the spot he'd just discovered to make sure no one would occupy it the second before he did.

Humming a little melody Rayman unfolded the piece of cloth he'd been carrying with him. After making sure that it was intact, he took up one end and tied it to one of the trees. Not doing this for quite a while, he wasn't really sure if that was the way you'd tie it, but he was hoping the knot was strong enough to last him. Then he took the other end of the hammock and...it was too short to be tied up. Rayman couldn't believe his sleepy eyes. One thing besides "I want to sleep" yelled in his head. Muttering it he undid the knot to make another one, one that could give the other side just enough length to be tied at the other tree.

With his work done, he took a few steps back to look at it. Putting away the doubt his hammock might not be able to last his weight with those loose knots, he laid into it.

...sigh.

He considered just staying on the ground and sleeping there but he wouldn't give in now. Not to a hammock and two trees.

He got up.

He took the hammock and looked for another two trees that were close enough. During his walk he wasn't sure if he was very, very tired or already sleepwalking.

By the time he did another place, he saw the dark, deep blu sky slowly getting colors that would greet the morning pretty soon.

Another sigh.

He muttered something about unfairness and looked at one of the passing lums.
Green.

Shaking his head, he tied the two ends at the trees.

Rayman could feel the sun shining warm on him just before his thoughts drifted away into sleep...making up a horrible nightmare.

...I always thought it was strange how Rayman said at the end of Rayman 3 (spoiler warning ;) "Looks like we're gonna get a full-night sleep after all!" ...I dunno, it just sounds so untypical for someone who just rescued the world to say that (but I guess it was Ubisoft's intention?). ._. And about the hammock...remember Rayman 1? The scene the magican said they need Rayman. I just love how he's chillin' in that hammock, giving the thumbs up.
Yes, I thought of putting Globox or Ly in there...but it didn't really fit.

Anyway, I'll end it off here. No need to make this any longer. (:
