Prologue
~Feudal Japan~
Inuyasha sat in front of the well. Waiting for something or someone. The wind blew lightly as he leaned forward, looking into the well. "Inuyasha? Are you waiting for Kagome?" Sango asked as she knelt next to him. "No…" He said looking away from the well. His cheeks flushed red, but was it anger or embarrassment? "Oh. I figured as much." Sango said as she stood again. "We all miss her too." She sighed softly. "I'll leave you to waiting for her." Sango said before to left him at the well.
Inuyasha sighed heavily as he stood up. "I don't want to give up on you, but I won't wait around forever. I will be here till tomorrow morning." He dropped his head, turning away from the well.
~Modern Day Japan~
Kagome sat inside the shrine looking at the well. "Maybe I should go back." She said softly. "Kagome? Why are you waiting?" Her mother asked putting a hand on her daughter's shoulder. "I don't know, mom. I want to go back, but I am not sure what is going to happen." She replied with a slight sigh. "Kagome, my dear; go. He is waiting for you." Her mother said with a smile.
Kagome nodded once before taking the steps down to the well. "Good-bye Mom." Kagome said as she reached the well. With her hands on the top of the well she pushed up so her feet touched the top and jumped into the well feet first.
~Feudal Japan~
Inuyasha laid with his back against the well, snoring softly. Kagome climbed out of the well, landing next to him. She giggled lightly when she saw him sleeping soundly. "He is waiting for me. If only mom could see this. Haha." Kagome thought to herself. Instead of waking him, she sat down beside him and put her head on his shoulder. The sun began to set on the two as Kagome began to fall asleep. "Good night, Inuyasha." She murmured as she closed her eyes and drifted off to sleep.
