the mad biologist sat at his desk in the bunker building his newest project the kt4 while eating fruit from the strange plants on the island it's the only food he really ate since he didn't fully trust real food to stay fresh from the 115 radatation he had enough of it from his water,also the fruit tasted great.
Soon he ran out of fruit and grew tired of sitting at his desk and decided to go for a walk around the island,look for more fruit and maybe talk to one of the few friends he's made on the island,he walked around parts of the island he didnt yet explore like an ominous alter that held 4 skulls as well as some interesting fungis growth where he made a mental note to check out in the future but the most breathtaking spot was a waterfall,what made this one special was it also got irradiated by the 115 so it looked like a rainbow flowing down"i should keep this to myself this could make a nice picnic spot" eventaully he returned to familiar ground with a sack full of fruit but he decided to pop into his friend in the living quarters to see how he is.
Yusei knocked on this friends door and he answered"oh good evening yusei" "hello friend i was wondering if i could talk to you for a bit" "of course come in make yourself comfortable" Yusei walked in the room was small but cosey there was a bed with a shelf above it with a door to a small bathroom beside the right side of it and across was a desk next to a bigger book shelf that had a larger collection of books that were msotly novels and biology a subject the two bonded over,Yusei sat on the chair by the desk while his friend sat towards yusei and crossed his legs"so Yusei what brings you here?" "No particular reason i was taking a break from the creation of the kt4 and wanted to talk to you for a bit..want some of fruit" his friend accepted the offer and took one from the sack and taking a bit out of it only to vomit in his mouth right after making Yusei to whisper "lightweight" under his breath"woah thats some strong stuff wow maybe too strong".
The two discussed many things like biology,language of flowers the kt4,some life stories and other projects happening on the island until dark. Yusei looked at the clock above the desk and noticed how late it was"i hate to leave but I need to return to my work" "at this time?..it would be a better idea to get rest and start work tomorrow i should know" "heh i guess you are right friend il try and rest" Yusei was leaving but before he left his friend called for him"wait i need to show you something" Yusei turned around with a curious expression"what?" His friend handed him a box from under his bed and gestured him to open it in the room,Yusei opened it it was a small statue of a dragon who looked like it was madecompletely of plants and leaves the amazment was visible on his face"it took me all day to carve it just right i was inspired by your carvings so i decided to try it for myself and give you a small present i named him after you" Yusei was admiring the dragon it was beautiful it came out perfectly as if a professional done it"i dont know what to say thank you so much it looks amazing il treasure it until i die il pay you back for this i promise" his friend said he didn't need to and they said their goodbyes again.
Yusei returned to his own room he admired the dragon once more before placing it on his locker beside his bed normally he woud put carvings on a shelf with the others but he wanted this one to be closer to him,he laid in bed too busy wondering how he should pay his friend back instead of sleeping "perhaps show him that waterfall he would love it" with that final thought he finally tried to rest.
