A/N Drabbled. You can kind of guess whom it's about. Review, munchkins.

Some day, I'd just love for him to realize that I'm different.

I'm not the same as all the other he sees. I'm the one for him. I'm the one that he could talk baseball with. She's never heard of Pedroia's MVP trophy, or the big Alex Rodriguez scandal. I'm the one who might actually wear a baseball cap when he gave it to me, not hide it from a friend, just to seem cooler. I would be that great girlfriend, the one who made everyone jealous.

God, Taylor Swift had it right. Why can't you see, you belong with me? I'd look perfect for school, in comfy jeans, never ripped, and a crisp, affordable tee with nice flats or clean sneakers. She'd look perfect for a school formal, in a mini dress, leggings, two-inch heels and gold earrings. I'm smart enough to know that a striker is not a baseball pitcher. If he invited me to play soccer in the park, I'd understand that it would be to play, not to watch. And I would play. I would be the best.

I would be his perfect girl.
