A/n: This story is based off the video game Rune Factory 4. If you haven't played it I highly recommend it, I love it. Anyway this story is based of my favorite paring in the game Dylas and the main character Frey. Just to let you can chose what gender you want to play as and Frey is the female.

A/n: This story will be told from Dylas's POV but I might change the POV in certain chapter but of course I'll tell you when that happens

Chapter 1

Dylas's POV

When did it start? When did I starting falling in love with her? Maybe it starting when she kept talking to me even though I didn't want anyone to bother me but she just kept talking to me and soon enough I start to become more friendly with her, wanted to see her every now and then. Soon enough I wanted to see her every day and maybe that's what let me to start falling in love with her. Better yet let me take you back to where it began back when I first met her, Frey.

It all started when I woke up in a place a didn't know, when I looked around the place seem to be some kind of clinic and there was a man standing before me. He smiled gently, "Your finally awake it's good to see you recovered quickly. Your most likely confused right now but let me explain. My name is Dr. Jones I ran this here clinic your in and whether you believe me or not you used to be a monster." I was shocked when I heard the word monster, I was a monster but I don't remember anything about that in fact there are parts of my memories that I don't remember and I believe those memories where important to me but I don't why I forgot them. Apparently he noticed my confusion and explained to the best of his ability, "Yes you were the monster that was making all those noises within the water ruins. You may be wondering then how am I a human and the answer lies with the person who saved you. The person who saved you has a special power, I don't even know what that power is but it was because of her that your here right now on this bed."

Apparently someone came down from the stairs and it was a women, she smiled at me also. "It's good to see you awake. I was worried you weren't going to wake up. Well I guess introductions are in order, I'm Nancy and I'm the wife of the doctor who has been taking care of you." I finally stood from my bed, apparently I wasn't fully human because I had fluffy ears and a tail but maybe that's because I was part monster, whatever monster that was. Nancy looked over me one more time to makesure I was alright and nodded to herself. Then a couple minutes later someone opened the door to the clinic, a girl with light green pigtails walked in. Nancy walked over to her and smiled, "Ah Frey I'm glad you here. Look who's up." She then pointed to me and the girl smiled at me. Nancy whispered in my ear, "That's the girl who saved you."

I then looked at the girl called Frey, and what I first told the girl Nancy didn't like. She told me to drop my attitude and the look she gave me, I didn't want to see it again so I did what I was told. "Um thanks for saving me." "It was no problem at all I'm just glad your okay." She smiled me again, geez that smile was cute. Ugh what I am saying I just met her. "Anyway my name is Frey." "Dylas." I then walked toward the door and opened it, "Well I'll see you later." Nancy called out to me but I just walked out the door only to met by another person, another man. What is up with me meeting people today, this is getting annoying. "Oi I finally found you and it seems moi doesn't have a place to go." "Look don't bother with me okay I'll be nothing more than a burden to you." "Nonsense you can come work for me, be my waiter at my restaurant I'll also teach you how to cook." "Why do you care?" "Because you need my help now what's your name." "Dylas." "Dylas that's a wonderful name. My name is Porcoline." I don't beleive that was all his name but I guess all you need is really your first name.

Just like that he took me to his restaurant, apparently this is where I going to be living for the of my life in this town, wait what town am I in. "Excuse me but what town is this." "This is the humble town of Selphia and don't worry everyone here is very accepting so you have nothing to worry about." That was the start of my life in this town. Two days later I learns from other in this town that Frey was the standing princess, I didn't understand what that meant until the other man who was staying in the restaurant told me, his name was Arthur and he told me that before I was ever saved he asked Frey to take over his royal duties since he was the real prince but thankfully Frey gladly accepted the offer. I was a amazing that girl was a princess and had the power to save me. Not only did I learn that but I laid learned that we have a living dragon with us, apparently I was explain who the dragon by Arthur again and for some reason there's a part of me that believes Ventuswill is important to me but I don't understand why.

After meeting some of the other town folk I found a person that I didn't absolutely like, his name was Doug. He's a red head dwarf and the first time I met him, he called me horse face. Apparently the trigger something within myself and I got angry called him means things, and anytime I see him we always argue with each other. I also learned from Arthur that the monster I was turned from was a horse and that definitely explains why I have a tail and fluffy ears. The day my life changed is when one day when the girl that saved me, Frey approach me.
