Molly shifted nervously.

"There's no need to be anxious." Mycroft reassured her.

"I'm not anxious." She tried. But clearly he did not believe her.

The car pulled to a stop and the driver opened the door. Molly slide out and Mycroft followed.

The white house loomed above he and Molly felt her stomach start turning. Mycroft saw her distress and squeezed her hand reassuringly.

'They're going to love you." He said.

The pair crossed the street and Mycroft rung the doorbell.

A few moments later a butler opened the door.

"Ah Mr. Holmes," The man said. "Please come in."

"Thank you, Johnson."

Johnson stood aside for the couple to enter the house.

"Please follow me." Johnson said. With each step she took Molly felt as if she would fall over.

"Don't be nervous." Mycroft whispered.

"Mycroft!" A new voice exclaimed.

"Uncle," Mycroft smiled.

"We're so glad you could come…and who is this?" The older man looked at Molly.

"Uncle Casper, I would like you to meet Molly Hooper…my fiancée."

Casper was clearly surprised, but he smiled. "Lovely to meet you to Miss Hooper. I'm glad Mycroft's finally found someone."

Molly felt herself blush a little. "I'm glad to meet you as well, Mr. Holmes."

"No 'Mr. Holmes'. That makes me feel far too old. Please call me Casper."

The pathologist smiled. Maybe this wouldn't be so bad.

"Follow me, I'll introduce you to the rest of the family."

The couple followed Casper into the living room. As they entered, Molly's nerves came back. There were 15 people in the room and all eyes were on her.

"Hello everyone." Mycroft said.

"Well it took you long enough." A familiar voice replied. Molly was very happy when she saw John and Sherlock in the corner of the room. At least she knew two people.

"Hi Uncle Mycroft." Make that three.

"Hello Hamish." Mycroft smiled at his nephew. "You remember Molly, don't you?"

"Of course."

Molly beamed at the seven-year-old.

Over the course of the next ten minutes, Molly was introduced to the rest of the Holmes family. She found that Sherlock and Mycroft's family was bigger then she originally thought.

Basil Holmes, Mycroft's father, had two brothers, Casper and Remus. All three brothers had their own families. Casper had two sons; Percival and Socrates, while Remus just had one son, Griffith.

After Molly was introduced to everyone, dinner was announced and they all went into the dinning room. Molly was seated next to Mycroft (for which she was very grateful) and Fleur, Percival's wife.

" 'ow did you and Mycroft meet?" She asked. Fleur was French, but spoke English very well, but her accent did slip out every now and then.

"Well, Sherlock and been hanging around the morgue a lot and Mycroft would pop by every now and then to see what his brother had been up to. And about two years ago he asked me out for coffee, then just two days ago he asked me to marry him."

Molly showed Fleur the ring. " 'ow lovely."

The Holmes family was certainly not what Molly had expected, but she was pleasantly surprised. She hoped the rest of the evening would go just as well.
