Ran was devastated. Her heart was beating faster than normal... but only it wasn't a happy feeling. Her heart was beating faster in agony. Screaming the word 'WHY?'. Her feet wasn't listening to her. It was moving on it's own. She was holding back the tears that were threatening to fall down any second now.

When she heard the news from Agasa-hakase, she, right away, bolted out from the door, ignoring her father's cries. She didn't even took her jacket, her umbrella, evwn though she knew it was raining. Her sweat was becoming one of the rain as she panted. She didn't even care if she got a cold as she srrived at the Beika Hospital.

When she saw Professor Agasa, with just one look of his face, she knew it wasn't a joke. She dropped to the ground in her knees in front of the Professor as she has no longer has the strength to hold back her tears.

Shinichi and a girl named Shiho, who Shinichi knew from his work (according to Professor Agasa) has lost all of their memories.

"I'm sorry but there is nothing we can do but wait..." the doctor said sadly as he stared at Yukiko and Yusaku, the parents of Shinichi who just arrived a minute ago, who looked worst than Ran.

Ran wouldn't eat properly. Wouldn't sleep properly and wouldn't talk properly. At this rate, Ran was going to be an empty shell. As soon as Shinichi woke up, Ran almost immediately went back to her usual self but not completely. She never once went to visit Shinichi. Everytime Shinichi's name was mentioned, she would always try to change the subject earning worried looks from Sonoko.

Eventually, after weeks of rest from the hospital. Shinichi and also Shiho, finally got released from the hospital but Shinichi wasn't himself. He was almost like Ran when she knew Shinichi lost his memories. He was always staring into space. Knowing Sonoko, she would probably force both of them to talk even though Shinichi doesn't know her at all. That she did.

It was awkward at first but suddenly it bloomed. They were almost like they were back on the past but Shinichi still has difficulty coping up. Although his detective skills were as good as ever.

Ran loved this. She wanted it to be like this forever but she knew that one day... Just one day... she would be able to express her feelings to her childhood friend.

But Fate won't let it go just yet. It has something in store... JUST. FOR. HER.

Ran saw a letter as she took her shoes, ready to go home. She opened it only for her to see Shinichi's handwriting.

'Meet me at the rooftop' -Shinichi

Ran widened her eyes as she tried to fight a blush that crept through her cheeks. 'D-Did h-he re-remember that time in... London?' She thought as she slapped her faced with both her hands. Ran pumped her fists to both her sides as she ignored her blush and readied herself as she led her foot into the rooftop… not knowing the news would probably break her heart.

"I like Shiho…" Shinichi blushed as he shyly fumbled with his fingers, not facing her. With that Ran's heart shattered. She stared at him wide eyed. Not knowing what to say. She was fighting the tears that were threatening her that they would fall any second now. What would she say? What did she felt? Well… She felt miserable. She felt horrible. She felt… broken. This was another way of rejecting her. Only she didn't tell her feelings for him yet.

"an…?"

Was what he said on London false? Did he not feel the same way as her?

"Ran…?"

Why…? Is she and Shinichi really incompatible? She widened her eyes more as she realized a question that she and Shinichi would really want to know… Does she feel the same way as him?

"Ran…!"

Well yeah… probably… They do hang out quite often. Maybe it was for the best… Shiho also lost her memories 'I guess they can relate to each other more' Ran thought as she looked downcast. Shiho was like a little sister to her. Although Shiho was much older than her, she looked younger than her. She loves Shinichi with all her heart… but she also loves Shiho, and she can never pick one from both of them.

"RAN!?"

Ran blinked. Here she was facing Shinichi, who has a worried and concern looked in his face. Ran shook her head and smiled, although it was fake, this clueless detective knew nothing. "I just never thought that you would admit it to me…" Shinichi widened his eyes as his blush came back. "It was obvious!? Does she know? Does she feel the same way? Does she–" Ran interrupted him with a half-hearted laugh, her tears coming out from her eyes. As soon as Ran finished laughing, she confronted the blushing detective. She lied about her tears. Shinichi thought it was from her laughter but it was from her broken heart.

She couldn't take this. She just couldn't. So did what she thought was for the best. Ending the conversation. "Well, go get her! It's obvious that she feels the same way about you. The way you look…" She paused remembering her own memories when she and Shinichi locked eyes, they looked away. "The way you act… The way you smile" One by one she remembered her memories with Shinichi as another set of tears came but she held it back. She dropped her head, eyes facing the ground as she continued "So if you want the girl…" She paused as she held her head up high and gave her friend a smile, "Go and get her!"

Shinichi beamed at her as he said his thanks and went running down but not forgetting waving Ran goodbye as she waved back, smiling sadly. As soon as she saw Shinichi left the gates, with his bag, running. Her knees gave out as she sobbed. "Ugh… Ahhh… Hahaha..." Ran laughed bitterly as she raises her head up towards the sky, sobbing pitifully.

Birds flew away from the scream as someone yelled pitiably

"AAAAAAAHHHHHHHH!!!!!"

"What!?" Sonoko shrieked as she heard the news from her best friend, who look worse for wear. "That stupid asshole of a detective! He left you and told you to wait for him and this…!" She directed her hands towards Ran as she continued yelling "… is what he did to you!? Losing his memory and courting another girl in the process!? And Ran!" Kazuha saw how Ran went stiff when Sonoko yelled all that so she looked at Sonoko with a stern look, telling her not to continue but she continued anyway. "You're telling us that you just OPENLY ACCEPT IT!? Are you an Idiot!?" Sonoko paused as she panted but continued, this time softly "Don't you love him…?"

Ran looked down as she mumbled an "I do" but clearly enough for everyone to hear it in the room. She continued as she smiled to them "That's why… If he's happy, I'm happy." Sonoko, of course, started sobbing at how kind her best friend was. Kazuha looked at Ran who still had the smile, she immediately knew it was fake so she asked the question that she wanted to ask her the most "What will you do if he regains all his memory…?" Sonoko turned quiet all of the sudden to hear Ran's answer.

"…It's up to him"

"So she accepted on being your girlfriend…?" Ran asked as she piled her textbooks in her locker as Shinichi stared at her, hands behind his head. Ran noticed his suspicions about her, being unusual so she chuckled and teased him "Ohh~? Who knew that this dense detective could get himself a girlfriend?" Shinichi blushed as he looked away from her piercing stare. "Shut up…"

Ran almost panicked because of the tears, now streaming down her face but she hid it with her laugh. She pretended to clutch her stomach as she continued to laugh. Behind that laugh was a girl, sobbing painfully as she stared at her childhood crush, who found himself involved in a relationship, only it wasn't her…

Professor Agasa was confused. He found himself in his living room facing Ran who looked at him with determination. This poor girl was begging him to keep her and Shinichi's relationship a secret from Shiho and Shinichi, himself. Before the incident happened, Shinichi and Ran were a thing since… but Shinichi, once again, left and found again only for him to lose his precious memory. Professor Agasa pitied her but he didn't want to. So Professor Agasa just nodded and smiled Okay… I won't"

Two years later. All of them graduated as Shinichi opened up his Detective Agency. Ran decided that it was best for her to work as an FBI so she won't ever regret on learning her Karate. Shiho opened her lab with Professor Agasa just beside Shinichi's agency. Ran decided to move on… but no matter how many times she tried to forget her feelings of a certain detective, it never fade away.

Whist Ran was scanning through a dozen of cases that were solved years ago, she found Shinichi in it, as well as Conan… Conan… How she miss that troublemaker of a child. She smiled, wondering when he could visit her. Has he grown to a rather handsome man? She shook her head and read the case. Her eyes widened as she stood up, too quickly, that her coffee spilled. Her Partner, James, rose a brow as he stared at his partner who ran from the door in a hurry. He shrugged. There were no cases that they were assigned to so… She could have her day off.

*KNOCKS*

"Coming~!" Ran heard a voice as she panted. She drove her way here in such a high speed so her car was confiscated for a day. So she resumed her business and ran towards her destination, a folder in her hand. When Professor Agasa opened the door, he beamed "Ran-kun! It's been a while!" but then frowned "If you're looking for Shinichi or Shiho-kun, they're out on a–" Ran interrupted him, wheezing in the process. "Conan-kun… Shinichi… Black Organization" He widened his eyes as they soften once again. Ran would probably found out about it sooner or later. So he invited her inside.

Ran's eyes enlarged as she listened to every detail that Professor Agasa explained to her. Shinichi being Conan. Conan being Shinichi. It all made sense and explains a lot of things but that wasn't the only reason why she's here. Ran looked up to Professor Agasa in horror as she blurted out the words which caused the Professor to spit out the tea. "The organization is still out there…" Ran continued as she brought out a folder she'd been holding in her hand. "The Organization is not only in Japan but also on New York… London… America… Their everywhere Professor and what's worse is that Gin escaped" Ran ignored the gasp that came out from the Professor's mouth as she carry on. "They are now planning to come all the way here to continue what was left of unfinished business…" Ran looked away as the Professor continued.

"They're planning to kill Shinichi and Shiho-kun…?" Ran nodded as another gasp escape from the Professor's mouth. He stuttered "…and they were just doing well with their current life… What did they do to deserve such fate?" Ran smiled at the Professor as she answered his question "They did nothing Professor and that is why…" She paused as she stood facing the Professor with the same determination she held in her eyes a year ago. "I will handle this alone and… I will be needing your help"

The Professor stood up and smiled "Anything to help you but…" He frowned "Will you be okay…?" Ran nodded "I want you to… keep this a secret from everyone who knew about the organization" Professor Agasa's eyes bulged out as his jaw dropped to the ground, "WH-What? R-Ran-kun! Are you serious? Why!?" Ran smiled "Just like you said… Everything is peaceful…, Hattori-kun has Kazuha-chan, Sonoko has Makoto-san, Otou-san finally reconciled with my mother, Miwako-san has Takagi-keiji and…" Ran gulped as she forced herself to smile. "… Shinichi has Shiho, almost everyone I knew has someone to care for… and to care for them."

Ran looked up to lock eyes with the Professor, teary-eyed. "But… I don't have one… All this time, Shinichi was just right beside me, protecting me, even though he was in a child's body. I know I should be angry, for keeping like this a secret but… I know I wasn't the only one suffering. That's why, it's my turn to protect those people I cherish." Professor looked at her, stunned. She really did mature a lot from the past 2 years. It's just that…

The Professor placed a hand on her shoulder as he smiled "You've grown Ran-kun. Shinichi would be too, although he would forbid you to do it." Ran laughed at that statement as she let the Professor continue "If Ai-kun never lost her memory… She would never let this happen" Ran shook her head, disagreeing "No… Even though the both of them never lost their memories, I doubt it that Shinichi and me would be together. Ai-chan was right there beside Conan-kun all along. She knew his secrets and I didn't. She was the one supporting him and I was just a dumb girl who never knew his situation. I was being selfish. He was in a situation that he could die any moment now if he was back in his real body. And… I love both of them"

The Professor smiled sadly and he asked "What if he regains his memory back?" Ran froze but didn't answer. She turned her head to face the Professor as tears finally made its way to her cheeks. "I doubt that he'll love me back… Even though we were childhood friends, Ai-chan was there with him longer, supporting him while I was selfishly wishing he'd come back to me and that…!" She paused but then continued after a moment of silence "…is the reason why there will never be an us"

"I think I should go now. Thank you for listening, Professor." The Professor looked down but before Ran could leave her asked one question "Wait Ran-kun! How do you know all of this? About the Organization, I mean. This," He pointed at the folder "wasn't written in the folder and it said to be 'Organization defeated'" Ran looked down, darkly as she narrowed her eyes

"Before someone could change the information that I told you, I let my partner picture it all but I had my suspicions. The sentenced 'Gin escaped' wasn't found in the picture that my partner took a photo of that he sent to my boss and I was surprised to see the folder was written 'case solved' when there Gin escaped and when I told my boss about it. He laughed and said that Gin is dead. He even let me show the photo. The murderer wasn't caught though. The only clue was a tattoo on his upper elbow. Some of us thought that the Organization was still intact but doubt it because we definitely saw their boss dead so this wasn't considered to us so we sent it to the Police or detectives to who can solve it but when I researched, I found out that my partner…" Ran gulped as she sighed "…was part of this Organization all along"

"Agent Mouri Ran! Do you copy!?" a voice in her transmitter yelled, angrily. Ran panted as she grabbed the transmitter annoyingly and pressed the button. "I COPY ALRIGHT! SO WOULD YOU KINDLY SHUT UP FOR A SECOND!!? COPY!" Ran was at her limits. She was currently running away from 85 angry American people which was part of the said organization in an abandoned building "Finally! What took you so long!? Copy!" Ran hid at the wall as they passed her. Luckily, they didn't hear the transmitter. Ran grabbed the transmitter and whispered/yelled. "I was running for my dear life! And you just have to give away my position by yelling! Copy!"

Ran sighed in relief, seeing that her new partner, Algira, didn't respond back but hearing her ringtone made her groan. "Moshi Moshi!"

"Ok! I'm sorry for giving away your position but you're the one who brought it to yourself!"

"Yeah, Yeah. It's my fault alright but you're taking me to this new café that has a lot of delicious desserts that you could die for. Your treat!"

"*groans* Ughh. Fineee… but after that! We should go shopping for our dresses we should wear on the wedding!"

"Wedding…?" Now Ran was curious because as soon as she said 'wedding'. Algira had stopped talking but as silence passed them. She heard her murmur.

"Haven't you heard…?"

"Heard what exactly?"

"Algira! Tell me!"

"Kudou-kun and Miyano-san are engaged… Yesterday was the day he proposed"

Okay… Even though Ran's heart were already broken. She could hear shattering. Something shattering and she immediately know it was her heart. Ran tried to say something. Anything. But nothing came out. All that came out was the silent tears that were now falling down. She hoped that Shinichi would remember. She hoped that he would come back to her but… He really is gone.

"Ran? Are you okay?"

Okay? Was she okay? Definitely not! She wasn't okay! And she will never be okay! The one whom she love was now gone! Gone forever! He will never come back! Never! He already belongs to none other than the sister whom she loves the most! Ran silently sob as Algira stayed quiet. She knew her feelings for her childhood friend. She knew what happened. Ran had breakdown once in front of her and she pitied the girl. No matter how much he could comfort her… She could never heal her broken heart.

"Ran..." Ran hanged up as she walked up towards the edge of the building. There were no railings so she could easily die if she jumped. Ran has a hand on the wall beside her as she used it as a leverage for her leg was slightly injured. She, herself, was surprised that she had overran those people. She took her telescope and immediately wished she didn't. There stood two people. Lips touching but that wasn't the only thing that made Ran fell from her knees, dropped the telescope, and her mouth silencing her sob. The ring on the woman's hand made her bit her tongue. She didn't want any attention to her, seeing that those men came back.

"That pest probably ran away!" an American man concluded as another man laughed "Gyahahaha! Look at those two birds! Smooching!" He, then proceed to make kissing noises. Ran was disgusted. His comrade's laughed. Ran clenched her fists and gritted her teeth, she was getting irritated. She checked her bag and saw 6 packs of bullets left for each of her gun. She placed her silencer on each of her gun, ready to make the first move. A question then popped out of her head 'Don't you hate Kudou Shinichi?'

This caused Ran to stop in her tracks. Does she hate Shinichi? Yes, very much. For leaving her. For lying to her. For forgetting her, but at the same time, she love him. She couldn't help it. Her heart will forever love him as he will forever love Shiho. Ran smiled. There was no way she could beat them all but she would never know unless she'll try. Why was she here? Now that question she can answer easily. She stood, eyes with determination. She walked towards them. They didn't notice because they were currently looking at their target, Shinichi, but was interrupted by Ran who protected Shinichi by taking their attention to her. And that. She will do again.

"Who said I ran away?" All of the men quickly snapped their attention to the voice but were a tad too late. Ran shot them with ease as she answered the question that was floating on her mind for a while now. 'It's my turn now to protect you both… that's why I'm here'

For 5 Years, Ran protected the both of them, Shinichi and Shiho, from the Black Organization that was targeting them. So Ran decided to keep an eye on Shinichi. Every day, every date, every minute, every second. Ran was beside the both of them, but the only problem is… they weren't allowed to see her. Ran was an uncover agent. She wasn't allowed to be seen. She hanged out less with Shinichi, which he found suspicious.

Today… was the day she'll take down the Organization at last but it was also the day of the wedding.

"Are you sure you're gonna do it, today? Today's their wedding for Christ's sake!" Sonoko complained. Kazuha sweat dropped but worriedly asked "Ran-chan. Let me help yo–" Ran interrupted her as she shook her head "No. This is my job, Kazuha-chan. The boss told me that today will be the day we'll take the organization down." Sonoko gritted her teeth as she once again complained "Ran! You'll die! This is a life and death situation! What will you do with Shinichi!? After all the times he witnessed you injured..! You think he'll get out from his sight? You almost died many times Ran because of this job." Kazuha added "I agree with Sonoko-chan. Why did Kudou-kun kept the Organization a secret from you? He wanted to protect you from danger but here you are… endangering yourself from the reason why Kudou-kun and Shiho-chan lost their memories. Ran-chan… I know you want to protect them both but… Aren't you being selfish?"

Ran met Kazuha's eyes as she continued "Ya' want to protect Kudou-kun and Shiho-chan by endangering ya' self. Did ya' ever think that if ya' die, you'll be only breaking their hearts? They want to protect you too Ran-chan. Kudou-kun's a detective, ya' know. He's suspecting you! If you die in that battle..! You won't be only breaking their hearts but… they'll blame themselves! They won't be the only one's… Your mother, your father, Sonoko-chan, Sera-chan, Me, Heiji… All of us will..!" Kazuha can no longer hold her tears back. "I don't want you to die… Ran-chan!" Sonoko wasn't helping as her own tears fell.

Ran watched the scene. She knew she has to go but… seeing her friends at this state caused her to break down, once again. Three friends… wanted nothing more than to comfort each other. Knowing that the other one… will leave them sooner or later but not knowing that a certain someone overheard their entire conversation.

"Well, well, well. If it isn't my ex-partner…" a voice said as Ran looked up and saw her partner from years ago. James. Ran struggled but found out that she can't. Her hands and feet were tied from a chair as she realized something. "Where's my team!?" She demanded as James smirked "You mean them?" James titled Ran's chair to her back, only to find something horrifying. The heads of her team were sliced as they hanged it from a wall. Although her eyes were reddening from crying, she could make up a face from the center of a wall… "ALGIRA!!!"

James laughed at her as he mocked "Can't have someone replace me now can we?" Ran glared at him as she went straight to the point. "What do you want!?" She screamed, venom laced from her voice. James smirked as he shook his head "Still persistent as ever, Mouri" Ran paid no mind to the insult as she struggled and screamed once again. "WHAT DO YOU WANT FROM ME!!?" James signaled his hand to come forward as someone from the shadows punched her hard in the gut.

Ran coughed up blood as she widened her eyes and screamed in pain. "Now, now. Be gentle. Mouri here is ol' friend of mine." But Ran interrupted him as she spat "I was never your friend. Now get straight to the point! What do you want from me!?" James sighed as he took a remote from Kaori knows where. He pressed a button and the television suddenly went on.

In the TV was the church that was currently being held. The TV zoomed in as there stood Shinichi and Shiho holding their hands as they were done saying their vows.

"Kudou Shinichi, will you take Miyano Shiho as you lawfully wedded wife?" The Priest asked in the television as Ran painfully looked away from the TV but James forced her head to watch. There was silence at first and some of them considered that Shinichi was refusing but he then proceed to talk but not the 'I do' that they were waiting.

"All this time, I never knew what it's like to love a person. But now, I know. I have never loved someone like this before. When I was a child, I was so into Sherlock's Holmes book. I never thought going to the outside world would be so amazing. Meeting new people made me realize something. The word 'love' was a feeling that 2 people will love each other in a romantic way. An affection felt by people who have a romantic relationship… and that's when I met her. She was the strongest woman I knew. The prettiest, even. She made my heart flutter and my stomach filled with butterflies. That was when I decided that I want to be with her forever. But then a problem came, I became a child. Edogawa Conan was the alias I came up with. Same with Miyano Shiho as Haibara Ai" Whispers could be heard throughout the room as Ayumi, Genta and Mitsuhiko screamed 'EH!?' Ran widened her eyes as she looked at the screen, with full attention 'They remembered…?' "I wanted to tell her this but… I'll only endanger her more. I wanted to comfort her when she was crying, telling me to come home, but I can't. I love her so much that I don't care if I die. So that's why…! Everyone! Please help me look for a stupid idiot who was a name, Mouri Ran! I love with all the fiber in my being." The bride beside him grinned as she took off the whatcha ma call it? (Something that bride's wear on their forehead). "I agree with Kudou-kun! He doesn't belong to me but with Mouri-san! I may love this certain detective but after he regained his memory, he just realized his feelings. Please help us find her!" Ran couldn't think straight. She cried. Not knowing what to say. Ai-chan…? Conan-kun…? What the hell do you think you're doing!?

She heard James curse as she smirked "That was what you wanted me to see?" She mocked as James proceed to punch her cheek but she stopped it with her hand. She finally got her hands and feet free. With a little notch with her hairpin in the chain, she was set free. "HOW!!?" He yelled as she grinned "Don't underestimate me." James gritted his teeth in annoyance as he screeched "Because of you…! Because of you! This organization began decreasing! Were the only ones left now because of you! Me and Botch (the one who punched her)! I would die happily if you'll just die!" Ran reached up to grab his arms but a strong hand kept her still. This was Botch, huh? Quite the muscle. But as strong as he can be, he's no match for her.

~~MINUTES LATER~~

After the fight between Ran and Botch. Ran, being the victorious winner, glared at James, who smirked at her. They were having a showdown.

"Where are you…Ran!?" Shinichi yelled as he cursed himself. 'Shinichi' was heard I his ears as he desperately followed the voice calling out to him. "Wait for me… Ran!"

'Ran' Ran looked around and saw no one. She thought she heard someone but there was no one in the room beside her and James. Speaking of James…

"James! Think about it! If you die, would it do you any good!?" Ran reasoned as she tried to step forward to James, who held a button to his hand. "Oh… I'll do me good. If I take you with me!!" James lunged at the woman who dodged it easily but as soon as she dodged, James pressed the button.

"Shit" She cursed as the placed exploded.

"an..!" Ran heard a voice, wavering. She tried to open her eyes, but found out she couldn't "RAN!" Okay, now that forced her to bolt awake but her eyes weakly opened and there she saw Shinichi, eyes filled with tears. His white tuxedo now dirty. His face help pain, anger, worry, guilt and concern. His face was filled with emotions. As she weakly place her hand on his cheek, she smiled "Sorry…" Shinichi held his hand in his cheek, tightly, afraid to let her go. "What are you saying!? I should be the one to apologize! I made you suffer!" Ran shook her head with effort "No… I did suffer but…" Ran looked at him straight into the eyes "You love Shiho-chan" Shinichi denied, a little too quickly. "You're the one I love, you idiot!"

Ran chuckled as she lovingly smiled at him. "Stop denying it, Shinichi… I saw… T-he way, you look at her… Just admit it Shinichi… You did love me but… you also love someone else now. In other words, you love 2 people... isn't that kind of selfish... Shinichi..?" Shinichi gritted his teeth and retorted "If you had told me we were dating after I lost my memories, then…!" Ran gently stroked Shinichi's cheek as she forced all of her energy before she could sleep "I… want you to… take good care of her…ne? Just hang on, please! For me!" He pleaded as her eyes were getting heavy.

Ran couldn't just leave like this. She didn't want to leave them broken like this so she used her every last bit of energy to say "I love you all… with all my heart… Don't you… dare blame yourselves… or I will haunt you… for all eternity… tell this to them, Shinichi. Don't cry… promise me… Shinichi that you won't cry…" Shinichi sobbed as he nodded and looked at Ran, with a forced smile. "Yeah, I promise" Ran smiled as she let the tears fell on her cheeks. "I'm glad… Good… nigh…t Everyo...ne…" With those last words, Ran's hand fell limp beside her as the ambulance arrived.

"Although I promised…" Shinichi murmured as he closed his eyes tightly and looked up to the sky, laughing. "I just can't seem to stop my tears from running, Ran…" He sobbed loudly as paramedics took the body and forced Shinichi up to his feet to go with them.

"You really were an idiot, Ran" Shinichi smiled "I'm sorry and… thank you for everything. Thank you for making me move on..."

"Papa!" a voice exclaimed as the person who owned the voice looked at the gravestone and smiled "We have the same name!" Shinichi chuckled as she caressed the hair of her daughter "Yes, you do. You were named after her you know?" Ran Kudou smiled as she bowed at the gravestone. "Pleased to meet you! Papa's friend!" Shinichi interrupted "She was more than just a friend." Ran playfully kicked her father's knee, practicing her Karate. Shinichi suddenly dropped to the ground, screaming in pain. "Don't start kicking me. You really are like Ran!" Ran just laughed until she realized SOMEONE WAS WALKING TOWARDS THEM.

"Momma! Papa's being mean!" She cried as Shinichi complained "What did I ever do to you!?" Shiho laughed as she kneeled down to the same height as her daughter. "Don't worry, we'll punish daddy at home, ok? But now, Let Mommy's sister rest in peace" Ran nodded as she kneeled down to a praying position. "Can I call her mommy?" Shiho nodded as she looked at her daughter, who started crying, confused. "What's wrong?"

Ran wiped her tears as she smiled at the gravestone. "She said that I was cute… like her" Shinichi widened his eyes as he asked "You can see her!?" Ran just nodded as she continued "She said that… 'I look like her and said that… Daddy and Mommy did great on the bed…'" With that, Shinichi and Shiho's faces were beet red. "Papa, what does that mean?" Shinichi gulped and said nervously "Nothing! Forget about it." Shinichi paused as he faced her daughter. "D-Did she say something else?" Ran nodded as she continued.

"She said that 'Her unfinished business was done so she has to go'" Shinichi rose a brow as he let his daughter continued "'I love you both Shinichi and Shiho. I know you two so well that I know you blamed yourselves for my death. I also love you, sweetheart. Your mommy and daddy did well on making you look like me." Shinichi's eyebrow ticked as he interrupted "Your still sarcastic as ever, Ran"

"'Well, you're still dense as ever'"

"I'm a detective!"

"Again, how clueless you were"

"Oi!"

Shiho looked at her husband and daughter. It was quite funny how they act like Ran and Shinichi in their high school days. If only she didn't exist…

"Ai-chan. Shut Up!" Shinichi was stupefied as his daughter went in front of her mother and kick her on the knee. She yelled "Don't you ever say that again! Without you, Shinichi would die! Without you, Ran won't be here! You are you! " Okay, Shinichi's daughter was acting more like Ran.

"That's because I am Ran and for your information. I can read your minds!" The two parents blinked once as 'Ran' crossed her arms "I possessed your child's body but only for a minute. Shinichi, I told you to not blame yourself and after all these years. This is only the time where you learned to forgive yourself and Shiho-chan! Never again say that 'If only I didn't exist' thing! Understood!?" The two parents nodded as 'Ran' smiled and walked towards them and hugged them.

"I love you both. I have watched the two of you for years and I never had the chance to hug you… Thank you and… I'm sorry but I have to leave…" The two parent's eye's saddened as she continued and pulled them to face them with a smile. "Goodbye!" and then, Ran's eyes blinked as she asked "Mommy, Daddy, why are you crying?" The two of them laughed as they pulled their daughter into a group hug.

"Nothing… Nothing in particular."
