God Help The Outcasts

A Maximum Ride Songfic

Maximum Charging Off Danger Magnet Ride's POV, DUH!

My five siblings, Fang, Iggy, Nudge, Gazzy, Angel, and I were and are on the run from our creators, a group of sick scientists who were supposedly trying to perfect the human race. So far, all these scientists had succeeded in doing was ruining other people's children's lives. However I knew we were lucky, because we still had each other and when we were in the Saint Patrick's Cathedral, I thought to myself.

"I don't know if You can hear me or if You're even there. I don't know if You would listen to a gypsy's prayer. Yes, I know I'm just an outcast. I shouldn't speak to You. Still I see Your face and wonder were You once an outcast too?"

I sighed and after we had curled up on the ledge in the subway station, I thought some more and realized that no matter where we went, we would be major outcasts.

"God help the outcasts, hungry from birth. Show them the mercy they don't find on earth. God help my people. We look to You still. God help the outcasts or nobody will."

The next morning, all the normal people seemed to want things that they really didn't need; they just wanted these items, like money, glory, and fame.

"I ask for wealth. I ask for fame. I ask for glory to shine on my name. I ask for love I can possess. I ask for God and His angels to bless me."

I guess it just bothered me that people who actually normal were asking for things that they really didn't need, when I realized that I was probably jealous that they weren't outcasts like the Flock and me.

"I ask for nothing. I can get by. But I know so many less lucky than I. Please help my people, the poor and downtrod. I thought we all were the children of God. God help the outcasts, children of God."
