Author's Note: Hey, it's me DuchessPinkcat! I've decided to write CamLaney friendship as my first fic! I was inspired by the fact that the two share many more things in common then I thought. And I had some BBQ. Please, please R&R!

Flowers and Cats

It was just another day at Cam's Flower Shop when Laney strolled in.

"Uh…hi Laney" said the florist with a bit of surprise, since he rarely got customers.

"Hey Cam!" Laney chirped. "I'm just looking for flowers to freshen up the cafe. Have any suggestions? The flowers need to be perfect, since I took on this project myself and all. They're all so pretty though, so I'll have trouble deciding on just the right one!"

"Well…um…, uh.., the Casablancas are in full bloom right now. Plus, they'll look nice in the cafe." Cam stuttered

"Oh, I like them! They mean Celebration, right?" the baker inquired.

"Yeah, but how do you know all that? I don't think I told you anything about the meaning of flowers."

"I researched it myself. I love flowers!" Laney exclaimed.

"Really?" Cam asked "I just figured since you were a baker and all, you were never that crazy about flowers."

"Why would you think that? Oh, never mind. I'll take 12 Casablanca bouquets please. And by the way, I saw a stray cat at the flower beds that looks like he's hungry. Maybe we could feed him? I hear you have a stash of cat food in the back."

"Okay, I'll pull the food right out when I'm done ringing up the flowers." Cam said at the cash register.

"Great! I love kitties; they're so cute and have the softest fur…" Laney went on.

"You like cats? Flowers and cats? Wow, I never knew you liked so many things, life surprises you I guess. Next thing I know you'll have a crush on Ash!" Cam remarked.

Laney took off her shoe and threw it at Cam.

"What if he's listening?" she squeaked.

And there we have it! Maybe Laney does have a crush on Ash... And she DOES really like cats and flowers in the game! And Casablancas mean Celebration! :D
